  1. What's new in this club
  2. Oh, I forgot, this is finally fixed:
  3. All of those updates sound amazing. Thanks for the breakdown, @worm! I love the care Valve puts into their products, which is something that's remained a constant since day 1. They offered Half-Life for free at some point in the last week or two as part of the 25th anniversary, which I was able to snag. I originally played it via the physical copy, so it's nice to finally have it in my library on Steam. It's only 99 cents now, though, as well as Half-Life 2. P.S. For those who may have missed it, there was a great documentary Valve put out on YouTube for the anniversary.
  4. A bit late to announce this, but here we go! Half-Life just got an update for its 25 years of existence, and boy, it is AWESOME! I will leave links for the official data with all features and stuff, but first, I want to add what I really enjoy about it based on my experience with it and not with a copy-paste from a random site. The menu. You can't imagine the happiness on my face when I saw the old WON-style menu. Of course it is not 100% the same, but it got it right. The background, the title animation, the sounds when you click the different options... What a flashback. The UI. It's the same but with a bigger font so it works better with bigger resolutions. Just a little detail but a great one. The FOV. Same thing as the UI, works better with bigger resolutions. Texture filtering. Now you can disable the filtering, making the game look like it's using the Software mode but without leaving OpenGL. I love this because I feel it looks so much better, the game was made in 1998 so I love the grit of the pixel-like textures, it makes it look more defined. The new maps. They added some new multiplayer maps and they are completely awesome. After years and years of experience with the engine, they made them super fun and the environment is crazy, they use all that was available for the game from the start, but without the need to make them run good on computers from the 90's. The environments are as detailed as Black Mesa's. The biggest one of them all for me - you can now host a server from the game and it will display on the master-server list for everyone to see and join. No more dedicated servers, hosting or third party apps like Hamachi. You can start a server, your friends will join, randoms will join, and it will be a blast. There is so much more. New models, bug fixes, texture and animations corrections for the campaign, and a great 1 hour documentary about the making of this awesome game. 5. No offense my good chap, I hope you find the answers you seek!
  6. Context is tricky over the internet, but no offense was taken or intended by the italics.
  7. Actually, only two other team members are furries, and I don't really trust the advice of one of them. Still, they also know quite a bit about character design and Natalya should be able to do some sketches so we should have a decent idea before I try and model it... EDIT: I just caught the italic on "non-furs," sorry if that somehow offended you...
  8. That's probably a good call. They should have a better understanding of what you're going for than us non-furs.
  9. Fair enough. I joke that you can do anything with a fursona because once you're dealing with anthropomorphic animals, you're already giving reality the finger, so you might as well just go all-out with it. Still, I want to try and keep things faithful... You know what, I'll probably get the advice of the other people on my team, as opposed to the random non-furs on the internet.
  10. Hmm I see... but, at the same time, he will be a wolf so, you are already deep in changing stuff, the purple socks are not that big of a deal, I think
  11. In everything except HL1. Therein lies our dilemma...
  12. Well, see, the purple socks part in particular comes from this art from Steam's 20th anniversary.
  13. Missed the post! Wolf G-Man with purple socks? I think it's a great idea
  14. Okay are yall ignoring this intentionally? Yeah, no, wouldn't be surprised
  15. The master super complete bundle of all time!
  16. Should me and my team incorporate the G-Man's now purple socks into the wolf gman we're doing? We are changing quite a lot of his design (we realized we couldn't really keep the emaciated look, so we're doing more of a strong, cocky aura. Thank god GoldSRC is so limited or this would be soo much harder), but the outfit is remaining mostly the same. I was just wondering if we should keep the outfit faithful to HL1 or follow the retcons? (Speaking of which, I just got the idea to do a mod of HL1 that incorporates all the series retcons...)
  17. They should create something along the lines of the Valve Fan Complete Bundle, which would include stuff like Sven and GMod
  18. I think as long as it's SFW it should be fine... And besides, I'm trying not to have the project public pre-release. We wanted to release it in a very "This exists now, deal with it" kind of way. We were gonna create the ModDB page with the download publicly available and just, have it exist one day. And now our evil plot is publicly available... Thank god this community is miniscule
  19. No judgement from me! I'm not sure if you can post that kind of content here but I'm glad you know what you like! Welcome to Fan Clubs!
