  1. What's new in this club
  2. AMC just released their first look trailer for The Ones Who Live, which premieres next month on AMC and AMC+. I stopped watching the show after Season 6 or 7, but I'm definitely going to check this out. I'm hoping they stick the landing! Synopsis from Wikipedia: The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live is an upcoming American post-apocalyptic television series created by Scott M. Gimple and Danai Gurira for AMC. It is set after the conclusion of the original The Walking Dead series, with Andrew Lincoln, Danai Gurira and Pollyanna McIntosh reprising their roles. The Ones Who Live will be the sixth spin-off and overall seventh television series in The Walking Dead franchise. The Ones Who Live is scheduled to premiere on February 25, 2024, on AMC and AMC+.
  3. Holy cow! I can't believe it. I hoped Negan was the one who did it but I didn't know he was working with Carol. My favorite episode yet. I wonder what will happen with Beta now. Hopefully he doesn't find Lydia and kill her.
  4. It's sure been a great season so far. I'm glad to see that Judith is having a bigger part. She is going to be a badass like Michonne. I hate the Negan storyline, with the Whisperers. Hopefully they put an end to that soon. A couple of episodes ago, where he was kissing (and more) Alpha with her skins on, nasty.
  5. I don't think Negan will have any problem killing someone from Hilltop, as long as it isn't Judith, Carol or Darryl. I think that Stephanie is not going to be a good thing. I really think that Judith called Michonne and Michonne and the other people are going to come help fight the Whisperers. Thoughts on that?
  6. I thought it was another good episode. I hadn't seen the trailer so was surprised to see a battle. In the past, they'd tend to hype it up over lots of episodes before we finally got to it. Since the mid-season break it's nice to see them speed up the pace. I'm enjoying the show again. I feel like Negan's plan was to infiltrate The Whisperers however it will probably be harder than he anticipated. I'm intrigued to see if Alpha might test his loyalty by asking him to kill one of the Hilltop community. I'm expecting him to turn on Alpha and co...I just don't know how long we're going to have to wait before that happens. I hope the Stephanie/Eugene plot doesn't end up in a scenario where things seem too good to be true - we've had that SO many times before!
  7. Any other Walking Dead fans? What did you think of last night's episode? What do you think about this Stephanie that Eugene is talking to? I can't figure Negan out but it was horrible seeing him in the skins. It was a great show. The last two episodes were. I think they were better than last night's. Beta's scene were 100% badass! It was great that Lydia came back. I was glad to see her.
  8. Man... did you watch last nights? Lydia is back! I knew she wouldn't kill her mother but I was hoping she would. Daryl took a beating for sure! Glad Lydia saved him! I was really not sure what they were going to do with Gamma. Beta coming underground to get her. That whole scene had me on the edge of my seat. Judith was a badass, just like Michonne!
  9. Negan and Alpha most certainly was wrong! I mean, nasty she left her skin on. I know it's too soon for Negan to kill her, I hope he does soon. I thought the episode was great! Carol is crazy, she is badass and I can't wait to see how she keeps transforming!
  10. Anyone watch last nights episode? I thought it was pretty slow at times. There were some great scenes though. What's up with Negan and Alpha.. I puked in my mouth a little with their scene. I really hope that Negan becomes a badass again, and kills off Alpha. Carol is starting to irritate me too. I get it, they beheaded Henry - she is putting everyone else in danger. I was hoping to see Lydia. Any thoughts on the episode?
  11. Well, well. I didn't think Negan would be friends with some fake Walkers! That's a nice twist, even though I don't think Negan really believes in their cause. Maybe he's just curious, yet still, going with them is better than going around aimlessly. I enjoy his parts with Beta more than Carol this time, I feel strange.
  12. I like your ideas! The building may have a kind of meaning. We can both find Negan and his captors with some Walker friends. Sounds fun. Anyway, if those things happen and shake the structure of Alexandria a little, I think that would be great. We need changes, stuff at stake and worth fighting for. It just feels a little empty now since there isn't really a happy ending for anyone.
  13. The Alexandrians seem particularly restless, and Negan and Lydia are the perfect targets anyway. Though with Negan locked away, it would've been easier to target Lydia. Anyway, I don't mind having more reasons to raise conflicts, so it's up to the execution.
  14. I was thinking that it was an inside job at Alexandria, some of those that want him dead have taken him as they think its the only way to get it done. I don't expect them to go through with it though. In the closing moments of the episode, it seemed to focus on a building, he could be there. Or they could have just been highlighting the sound of the walkers behind the fence...
  15. Negan, where can you run off to? I didn't think I'd come to a point where I'm kind of rooting for him, but here I am. My guess is that The Whisperers are organizing these strangely timed attacks for an ambush down the road, further fueled by what happens to Lydia, and that's when everyone will come together.
  16. Four episodes in and I feel more optimistic than I was at the beginning. At least the potential conflicts are interesting on paper. Carol's mental health issues (in combination with Siddiq's though the latter is more disappointing than the former), The Whisperers and the bosses, and how to actually deal with them. Can they pull this off at least once?
  17. I don't think it's that specific. I'd say we get to see the origin of Beta, though some interesting details are still being left out intentionally. Plot-wise, we are still at the same point as the end of the pilot episode, but this extra story isn't too bad. It's nice to see that Alpha hides different sides of herself, how Beta thinks of the team, and what a potential threat Gamma is.
  18. I usually binge this one after the season is complete. I've heard that the origin of the Whispers was recently revealed, but I didn't continue listening as I haven't seen it. I'm very curious about that little tidbit though. I thought last season was a step up and one of the best seasons in this series. I hope season 10 is the same.
  19. With the number of walkers they've killed so far, I once thought that they would run out of objects to slash. I guess I don't need to worry. For now, I'm looking forward to seeing Carol in another war. Those stares at the ending make me quite excited for the next episodes. I hope they can build the tension well.
  20. It's finally back, ladies and gentlemen. Let's praise and rant to our hearts' content. Who knows, maybe this will be the last we can do it for this series. Anyway, the first episode is out. What do you think we'll get in this season?
  21. I am going to jump in here and say that I like where the show is going. It seems like it was dead for a couple of seasons there, but the last season seems to be more fun again. Though I was a bit disappointed that the zombies weren't evolving after all...
  22. Well, that's partly thanks to the actress Samantha Morton, who can elevate any programme. Really though, the plot is becoming quite good again. I'm ready for Beta to make his appearance and I enjoy poor Lydia's character as well. I've never seen a programme go off the rails for more than one season then loop around to become fantastic again. I think that's where we're heading though.
  23. The more I see of Alpha the more I like her. She's intimidating without having to say a single word! I'd love to see a face-off between her and Carol. I'm liking the new group more and more each time I see them. The only one that I've not taken to yet is Luke but that could change once we get to see him more involved in the community.
  24. I think so too. I wished the show ended when the group has already settled into a walled space. The thrill of the surprises when the group was still roaming around was keeping me at the edge of my seat.
  25. I was enjoying it up to Negan's debut then it kinda went downhill for me. However, I'm liking what I've seen from the Whisperers so far, I'm hoping the show can regain some of its former glory. I think part of the problem now is that there are 3 big groups with fixed communities so it takes away some of the surprise/shock factors you had when it was a smaller cast moving around all the time.
