Do you think Microsoft will release an Xbox handheld device someday that could compete with Valve’s Steam Deck, the Nintendo Switch, and Asus ROG Ally and the likes? And if they did, would you purchase one?

The Coalition is all-in on the next Gears of War game I'm a bit torn on what to think of the news. As much as I'd love to see what The Coalition can build with a new IP, I can't wait to see what the team at The Coalition can put together to cap off this trilogy, and with Unreal Engine 5, to boot. Let's cap it off in style! I'm just wondering how they handle that moment from Gears 5. https://www.videogameschronicle.com/news/gears-6-is-reportedly-the-coalitions-next-game-after-2-other-titles-were-cancelled/

Xbox has had a few notable shows in the past, but I can't think of any that delivered on this level. This was a packed show. There was no padding, no gimmicks, and they just brought the games. And they ALL looked great. I haven't been this hyped after a games showcase since the prime E3 years - what a breath of fresh air

Reviews are looking great so far! I have a dilemma... Do I wait until May 2022 (est.) to play it via coop with my wife like all the other Halo games, or just go solo since that's all that's available at launch? I doubt I survive until May if I play it without her. But in either case, it's going to be hard to hold out with the reviews so far.

For those who haven't had a chance to watch the Starfield Direct or would like to revisit the Deep Dive, I'll pin it for easy access. Starfield Deep Dive from the Xbox Games Showcase Starfield Official Gameplay Trailer

I'm working my way through A Plague Tale: Requiem. If you enjoyed the first one, you won't be disappointed in the sequel, based on what I've played so far. I'm a sucker for story-driven, single-player experiences, so it's a very welcome addition. What are you currently playing on Game Pass? Anything coming soon that you can't wait to jump into?

  11. Started by worm,

If one thing I remember from Halo back in the day was the gameplay videos with Linkin Park music in the background 🤩 All games spawned all kinds of gameplay videos, of course! But Halo multiplayer videos were a big thing, with frag videos displaying great sniper skills and clans showing their strenght in battle... So, if there is a multiplayer video you like, or if you recorded some yourself, please share them here! You tell me if Halo multiplayer videos are not a mood!

This has to mean Fable is going to be there, right? From the trail of glitter, down to the music, this has Fable written all over it. 🧚‍♀️

  13. This month's Game Pass games are announced, and I'm caught up on my immediate backlog (just finished Halo: Infinite). I never played Outer Wilds or the Mass Effect Trilogy (What's wrong with me?) I heard nothing but amazing things about Outer Wilds, so I'm leaning towards knocking out the shorter of the two first, but if anybody played both, I'm open to thoughts. Thanks!

With all these schools closing, do you think more people will play on Xbox Live? It's a way to stay connected yet still social distance yourself. We just renewed our subscription.

Have you checked out the incredible Xbox consoles that teams, celebrities, and singers have helped design for the charity auction? Some of them are really brilliant. Way out of my price range, but brilliant nonetheless. The auction event is called "Consoles for Kids" and will last through October 3rd. It's a benefit for Make-A-Wish. I bet they'll make a lot.

I'm surprised that Halo Infinite won't have a battle royale mode, which is so popular today. I bet this decision will hurt sales, because I don't see the demand for that style falling away. How disappointing!

You'll level up surprisingly quickly. Especially if you can get through the levels on the higher difficulty setting instead of just normal. EDIT: Just had my first go on the Halo 5 Beta, and got my sh*t pushed in magnificently by what appeared to be a clan on the other team. Faired a lot better on my second time out though. It's strange, from what I can make out Halo is slowly turning into Call of Duty and COD is slowly turning into a more Halo-esque game, which means inevitably at some point in the near future both games are going to converge into being the same half and half game of mehness I guess. It's okay so far, but I'm completely cack-handed when it comes to…

  19. According to reports, the launch of the Xbox One in Japan was an abysmal failure. At one store, a single person turned up to purchase the console, while at another, there was a queue of around half-a-dozen folk braving the front line to get one of Microsoft's latest piece of kit. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x165/dravencage/gammasquadxbonejapan3.jpg http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x165/dravencage/gammasquadxbonejapan4.jpg Microsoft Japan released the following optimistic statement. “We have high expectations as this machine is loaded with graphics that will surely satisfy game players.”

  20. Dunno if anyone's interested, but I've noticed GTA San Andreas has gone live on the Arcade for Xbox 360, and it's currently priced at £2.99. I'm pretty sure it's some kind of mistake since I think the US version is going for $14.99 (I was assuming the UK version would be £9.99) so you may want to get in there and buy it while the gettings good. I've just bought it and can confirm that it only charged me £2.99 for the game.
