Well the new "season" has begun, and straight away the WWE are without some of their biggest names. Brock and Goldberg are gone, Rocky and HHH will be doing movies for a while, Foley needs time away and Angle and Austin have both got neck injuries prohibiting their work load. Angles one isnt as restricting, but it still affects his work from time to time.

With all that in mind, who will be the big stars the become the figureheads of the WWE and carry the company forward? After their showings at Mania Benoit and Eddie are prime candidates, but so are people like Randy Orton and John Cena. So heres the thing, the WWE will need a figurehead to represent the company, like Hogan, Austin and Rocky before, one or two of the "young" guys need to step up and make that leap into the big time.

I havent posted a poll on here as i wanted to leave the field open so to speak. Who will be the next Hogan/Rock/Austin and spearhead the company forward? or will no-one be up to the job and the company start going backwards? your thoughts please.

As of right now, My bets are on both Cena, and Orton...maybe even Orlando Johnson, if they can get him involved in something.

Orlando could get Theodore Long as a manager, and maybe THEN we'll see the kid step up a notch or so. ^^

I thought it was Orlando Jordan. Not Johnson. Man are you a huge fan of his.

Ha ha!

Edge, Orton and Cena will be the big stars of the year no doubt. But I'd like to see some other stars like Haas and Benjimen(sp?) move forward. I also sense hugh thing for Rene and Jindrak. :xyx

Jordan - that's the one. XP

Nah - I'm not exactly a fan, but I KNOW that the kid probably has an ounce of talent somewhere...

He just needs something to work with before he can get REALLY as over as the others are. Oo

Taker, cena

edge, orton

nad batista

these are my pick

Are you drunk? :lol I thought it said Ned Batista. Damn speed reading.

Some good choices there too. Although The undertaker has braught the company as far forward as he can IMO.

new stars

i seriously want cena/orton to become the next hitman/hbk, austin/the rock etc in a few years

Storm could get over, if booked right. But then again you could say that for the majority of WWE talent. Most have good in ring ability but the next 'star' will need Rock like charisma and at the moment I can't see anyone in the WWE touching his levels of charisma. Orton is being forced on us, and although he has talent and isn't bad on the stick, he is far away from being 'a Rock'.
As my signature says Orton/ Cena ARE the next rock/austin IF they are used properly, I think Edge will probably get his push that he deserves and maybe Shelton Benjamin could become Intercontinental Champion , who knows! (well WWE know but anyway) I think some other wrestlers (too many to name) could be turned into good gimmicks and characters but I hope that by the end of the year we are witnessing the beginning of the Orton/Cena era.
i think cena orton edge and taker will all have a good year.
I'm going for Hurricane or Rhyno. Helms has the talent and charisma, just not the push. Rhyno has REAL potential to be a devastating champ, but since he's ECW, I don't know what will happen.

I think choosing Hurricane would be a mistake on the WWE's part. At present he is in a comedic gimmick which no-one takes seriously and i dont think a "Superhero" has any place at the top of the WWE. If Helms ever got out of this Hero gaff, it will take alot for anyone to forget his days as the Hurricane.

The Undertaker has already been a figurehead of the WWE and helped carry them through some dodgy times, however i dont think he has it in him now to do it all over again. His body is getting old and battered and he will no doubt hang up his boots for good very soon.

The only talent this man has is scaring people with his face :D There is no chance that Orlando has the ability to carry the WWE, at least for a few years. His in ring ability needs improving, and his mic work, well when does he ever speak? If he had Teddy Long as a manager that would help but only slightly.

I too go with the majority - Orton and Cena for me. I think they will have one of these two win the King of the Ring as well, seeing as winning KotR seems to be held in high regard and champions are often pushed hard once they have won it.

Cheers!

Thats providing KOTR returns!

For me I'd like to see Orton, Cena,Matt Morgan, Edge, Batista, Shelton Benjamin, Christian and Matt Hardy get to the top!

p.s

Just watched WM16 again! Triangle ladder match is out of this world

I know I've already made my view but I think there could be more people than Cena/Orton/Edge in the future. One I didn't mention is Christian who I can see becoming World Champ this year, and the other one which if WWE would rub a brain cell together would be Batista, I mean jus look at him, he's surely Brock Lesnar's replacement! I think had he not been part of evolution he would have defintley been moved to Smackdown
i have a feeling angle will take wwe forword.
then again i still stick to Randy orton being the face of the future

legend killer could you try and keep all of your thoughts into one post please? If you forget something there is an "edit" button. It just keeps the forums neater. :)

Cheers,

Legend Killer, no spoilers please. Once again, anyone who wants to discuss the draft can they please do so here: http://www.talkwrestlingonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11077

Sorry to sound like a moan but there are people who haven't seen Raw yet and it isn't fair on them if they don't want to know what happened.

Without any doubt John Cena and Randy Orton will be the next big supersatars who will carry WWE forward but on my opinion the superstar of 2004 will be HBK
