Anyone do Live Action Role Playing? I've only been once before and I'm alllll excited now! There are few finer things in life than "worked" combat against crew members who are only there to fall down and be beaten in a spectacular fashion. I will feel very much like Hunter. :devil

I've been to one, as I was hired to DJ at Vampire LARP disco.

 

Perhaps the most frightening part of the night was either :

 

A) The organiser giving me a toy gun, saying anyone talks to you, just show them this, they'll leave you alone.

B) One strange guy standing by the door all night, who moved only once to walk over to me and ask "What clan and character are you? I know you're observing me"... I picked up the gun from under the decks, and he backed off back to where he was.

C) When the organiser asked for some quiet from me.... and told the assembled crowd that he had placed a subliminal message in the next record that would cause damage to those with certain characteristics (I forget exactly what) and to mark themselves down accordingly... then he told me to play the next song, which I did... and half the room fell to the floor, 'writhing' in agony...

 

I never did another one after that.
