Guest E2K
With No Mercy 2004 coming up soon, I thought I'd start a thread about No Mercys past. There's been six No Mercy events altogether since the first in May 1999, and there's been some great matches and mark-out moments in that time. With that in mind, what's your favourite No Mercy event - No Mercy match - No Mercy moment As far as events go, my favourite would be a toss-up between 2000 and 2001, with 2001 winning by a hair, if only for the absolutely superb WCW Championship match between Chris Jericho and The Rock. Favourite match - Jericho/Rock, No Mercy 2001, without a doubt. And favourite moment - well, Y2J winning his first World Title of course! How bout everyone else? Guest tazz13
no mercy 2001 is a very good event with the excellent rock/jericho match, rvd/angle/austin, edge/christian ladder match, hardyz vs hurri-storm, and a surprisingly decent kane vs test match best no mercy match ever would be angle/benoit vs rey/edge from 02, which is one of my favourite tag team matches of all-time other favourite no mercy matches...hhh/benoit from 00, rock/angle from 00, brock/taker hell in the cell from 02, and hhh/austin from

Guest peoples eyebrow
I agree with both 2k's here........but i have to mention the Interview that Kurt Angle did with The Rock at No Mercy 2000 was very funny, so is one of my fave moments too, also when Jericho hit xpac with the steel cage door at No Mercy 2000. :xyx
Guest The Crippler
Favourite No Mercy: 2000 Favourite Match: Either Benoit/Triple H or Mysterio/Edge v Angle/Benoit. Probably the tag match which was brilliant. Favourite Moment: Kurt Angle winning the WWF Title against The Rock.
Evil Gringo 279
Its funny ain't it, how No Mercy is usually a top notch ppv... Well I have that many fond memories, 2000 with Benoit v HHH and Rock v Angle was great, 1999 with the Hardyz and E&C ladder match was also up there... But as E2K said, 2001 Jericho climbing the mountain and having an awesome match with the Rock as well as the triple threat for the WWE title too... Great moment. Favourite moment? Well Jericho winning is top but special mark out mention must go to HHH reversing the CCF into a DVD! Little sidenote... why didn't they work that into the story during their 2004 fued? HHH unable to beat Benoit so he goes over old tapes and discovers his original answer to the CCF... Thought he was the Game and all?
Fletch 204
There have been some excellent matches at No Mercy in the past, sadly I dont expect anything on this years card to be memorable. 1999 and the first ever tag team ladder match between Edge and Christian and The Hardy Boyz. Jeff hardy won it and therefore winning the services of terri Runnels. 2000 the Rock vs Kurt Angle, For the WWF Championship. After Angle had been feuding with HHH all summer over Stephanie it was a relief when they moved the two apart and started this feud with The Rock. Kurt winning was a great moment and when he dropped to his knees and cried. Fantastic television. 2001 Chris jericho vs The Rock for the World Championship. Truely outstanding match , WWF vs WWF when the Alliance was about. Jericho starting his heel turn and using the Break Down (which i love) on the chair. Brilliance 2002- Brock lesnar vs Undertaker WWE Championship-Hell In A Cell.. fantastic hell in a cell match, not the best and certainly no better than the HHH vs Jericho HIAC at Judgment Day 2002 btu still very watchable, somehow voted WWE magazines match of the year 2002. What makes me think they forgot about Rock vs Hogan. 2003- I have this on DVD (thanks Kam, quiz night) Some good matches, nothing really standing out. I enjoyed Gowen vs V1, Benoit vs the vastly under rated former IC Champ A-Train , Cena vs Angle and of course the biker chain match between Taker and Lesnar. **** Coincidentally this was just a week after I went to see Passport to pain at Birmingam. Which actually turned out to be 100 times better that No mercy. Eddie def. Rhyno for the US Title, benoit and Kurt def. Cena and Show (hilarious) A-Train def. Matt hardy and in the match of the night brock lesnar def. Undertaker with a steel chair. So onto this years and we have Taker vs JBL and Eddie vs Luther. What a waste. Guest Slim Jim
i was at that same passport to pain event and yup it was better than No Mercy in 2003. The terri invitational ladder match was a classic and was one of the best matches in that classic hardyz/e and c feud.
Guest Trash
I watched No Mercy 2000 live, so that was pretty good for me. Austin Vs Rikishi wasnt excelllant but I highly was highly looking forward to Austin's return to the ring. Angle beating The Rock! - was good. In fact, it was very good. An all classic picture. Kurt crying after winning his first WWE title. I almost wept with the guy. Los Conquistadors, Beniot V hHh. "sie senior" Man, I loved those guys.
