I didn't think for one second that Undertaker would be the one to relieve JBL of his WWE title. No, since before his return to WWE after his injury, I've been convinced that Big Show will become a four-time world champion at some stage in the future, be it Survivor Series or further afield. Not sure how you all would feel about that. Myself, I'm not a big fan of the idea, but I feel he'd be better as champ than Layfield anyway.

So who do you all think it'll be?

yeah I think they might be able to give Show the big push too. What I've seen since he's been back has pointed for me that they want to make him the top face for a bit on Smackdown and probably have him go over Layfield for the belt eventually.

Yep, Big Show Vs JBL at Survivor Series. And Show to take the Title.

I was also about to start this thread, but you beat me to it :)

What about Fred the Spotted Chicken? The way he got screwed out of the title was an outrage to all poultry everywhere. Just ask Pamela Anderson, self-appointed chickens rights spokeperson. (Can you believe that she really is? Stupid tramp!)

Fred deserves a re-match!

The problem with Big Show and Undertaker winning the title as faces is that they're entire gimmicks are based around heels being afraid to fight them. When you're a face champ, you've got to have heels wanting a shot at the title, which wouldn't make much sense if you've got a heel wrestler saying "Grrr, I can't wait to fight you, but I'm also kinda scared of you and I'll keep running away every time I see you".

I say that RVD should be given a run with the belt. I'm not his biggest fan, but he's been there for a good few years now, with only one proper title shot at a PPV. He's just as over as anyone, people would buy him as a champ, he's not doing anything else right now and as you can tell by the amount of merchandising he shifts, he's extremely popular.

I think that WWE will, however, drag another month out of the Taker Vs JBL program, with Heidenreich in a similar role to Orlando Jordan, where he interferes and causes problems to the person that JBL is wrestling. It's not perfect, but there aren't a lot of faces ready for a title run just yet, with the exception (in my opinion) of RVD.

It has to be Big Show. And Show winning it is great news. Gotta love the big man.

I don't know who it was who revived the Big Show's career all those years ago but I'm so happy they did.

Big Show might then hold it until Angle takes it off him and then Taker might win the Royal Rumble or something.

But I'm diggin a Big Show title run... maybe Booker T could have a short feud with him whilst he's at it too. And the world will be a happier place.

yeah i would like to point out at this point that i very much said i expected show to be champ, as opposed to wanted him to be champ.

i'd love to see somebody like an RVD get a chance because nobody on Smackdown is realyl any more over than him. There's no standout stars there, just lots of guys in and about the same sort of level.

RVD could indeed make a decent, and believable champion. Similar to Shawn Michaels face title reigns, overcoming insurmountable (sp.) odds to keep retaining the belt until there is someone else ready to take it off his hands.

Yep - in an ideal world Rob Van Dam, Booker T or even Jericho over from Raw would be damn fine champions. Not gonna happen though.

Let me ask honestly - for those who would like to see Show as champion - why? What do you possibly think he can bring to the table?

i would prefer him over jbl. if booked correctly show can look devastating. he is also much better on the mic than people give him credit for.

however while i think he'd be better than jbl, i also think he'd be a lot worse than a lot of other guys

Show in my opinion is the type of wrestler that got me watching wrestling in the first place... he's a character. He isn't some 6 foot 2, 225 pounds Generic Joe.

I've always loved Show and I always enjoy his matches... for me if you don't then its purely a matter of taste in wrestling. It's not like Show is Giant Gonzalez or anything, he can have decent matches, and I honestly thought some of his work in the past with Angle and Lesnar was great.

If a casual fan tunes in and sees Big Show as champion they will be more likely to go "oooh look at the size of that guy" as well :D
