Maxximus 353
The Maxx is never to good to ask for help...and now is one of those times. I was wondering if anyone knew the music that "The Franchise" Shane Douglas used when he wrestled in ECW? This would be a great help to me as I seem to know absoultly everything there is to know about wrestling except this one thing! But of course I could be wrong! :devil Thanxx! :D
Guest The Beltster
The song is called Perfect Strangers and the band is Deep Purple
Guest Jayden
yeah and it rules. I have a couple of Deep Purple albums that have it on them. Very cool song although it doesn't sound quite the same when you listen to it and the Franchise isn't make his way to a wrestling ring. He did also use Simply the Best in ECW as well, but that was early on, and of course, it sucks, so I'm guessing it's the Deep Purple one you're talking about. Maxximus 353
Wow! Damn you guys work fast! The song is indeed the one preformed by Deep Purple! Beltmark, Jayden, you guys are cool in the eyes of the TWO's "Twisted" one! :devil Thanxx!

Guest Jayden
yeah very very similar. Which to be honest wasn't a bad thing. Obviously they couldn't get the same music, or couldn't be bothered to pay for it, so they just ripped it off. Douglas without that music always sounded a bit wrong for me so it was cool to hear basically the same thing without the vocals.
Guest Inno
Can't help but shed a single tear for the passing of one Dean Douglas when I see this thread. Apologies to anyone who doesn't get this, but most of the forum regulars from the past will understand. No, I'm not trying to leave anyone out, just making a post is all. Evil Gringo 279
I blame Razor Ramon and HBK for that, Douglas could have at least been a solid IC title level kinda guy in the WWF... Then to take the piss and steal his ECW gimmick (HHH I'm looking at you) later on also sucked... Plus you know HBK originally called D-X the Triple Threat? That would have been going way too far.... Guest Inno
I was actually talking about the forum poster/moderator known as Dean Douglas, but hey, you have a valid point there too! "vivify... ahhh ahhh ahhh!" Genius :D
Evil Gringo 279
Egg. On. Face. Lol Any idea where Dean went? Or is it like Riki just gone without a trace? I wasn't around back then as you know and I'd like to know abit of the history of this place so I don't put my foot in it again... Although did Michaels and Hall get him too? Guest Jayden
lmao, excellent, couldn't help but chuckle when evil gringo didn't get the point. but, what gringo says about douglas is absolutely right, huge talent and still one of the best talkers in the business. just watch his interview bits in TNA right now and you'll see someone who knows the business inside out and has everything mic wise down to a tee, facial expression, tone, use of words, the whole package, he's awesome. Guest Inno
I think he moved to Sweden or something similar. Shame, he was a top bloke, even if he had the obesession of correcting people's spelling all over the place. Side note : Where DID Riki go? Evil Gringo 279
Supposed to have gone to America for a while to see his girlfriend or so the rumour mill told me.... Apart from that your guess is as good as mine Inno.
Guest Jayden
no, it was TWO's resident Heartbreak Kid Russ that forced him out with the help of Big Sexy Verbin Nash
