The Real Story On WWE Divas In Playboy; More Divas To Pose?

Date Added: December 29, 2004

Story By: Ben Johnson

It seems that wresting rumor website 1Wrestling.com's breaking report that nine WWE divas were confirmed for Playboy stemmed from a guest's post on a message board.

The "Celebrity Nude Database Forum" (cndb.com) featured a post from a user who claims to be a Maxim Magazine Photographer about WWE planning a "Women of WWE" issue of Playboy. The post appeared at cndb.com on 12/20, 1Wrestling ran the story on 12/21 - others made note of 1Wrestling's story in the days that followed.

Throughout the past few days, "photographer" has been posting more rumors, now stating that all of the WWE divas (except Trish) have agreed to pose in the magazine.

Here is the list posted by the user:

Victoria -Topless & Full Frontal

Dawn Marie - Topless & Full Frontal

Miss Jackie - Topless Only/Lingerie

Stacy Keibler - Ass and Back only

Stephanie McMahon - See-through Nightie/Lingerie

Michelle McCool - Topless & Full Frontal

Amy Weber - Topless & Full Frontal

Maria - Topless only

Lita - Still Negotiating Poses

Joy Giovanni - Topless & Full Frontal

Christy Hemme - Topless & Ass only

Candace - Topless & Full Frontal

Torrie Wilson - Topless Only/Lingerie

Lilian Garcia - See-Through Nightie/Lingerie

Molly Holly - Topless Only/Lingerie

Although the user has made some posts that would attest to his accuracy, the fact that Torrie Wilson only 'agreed' to go topless might be a red flag, considering she has now done two full spreads for the magazine. Stephanie McMahon and Molly Holly are also questionable.

This reporter is advising readers to avoid taking sides until further proof comes out. WWE and Playboy sources will not confirm this story, so while it could very well be true, the only documentation is what a guest posted on a message board in a thread designated to Playboy rumors. This website is not immediately dismissing his claims, just issuing a warning that the rumors did not stem in the WWE lockerroom, but on a message board.

I pray that all this comes true. :worship :devil :worship

i sure as hell hope this is crap

So long as Lita, Lillian and Victoria are in it, It'll do for me.

And Taj, I respect your opinion on the issue, but the simple solution is not to buy it and allow us who do enjoy such things to do so.

I have respected your opinions on this, please respect me and my fellow pervs views also.

lol HDC

what i object to is that it will undoubtedly be marketed on SD and Raw showing young girls that taking your clothes of for money is ok when infact it is as near as dammit to being a PROSTITUTE!

That is your opinion, but I feel that it's a bit strong.

Who's to say it's not ok. I mean we are all naked underneath our clothes. The human body is nothing to be ashamed of or to be reviled by.

I'm not gonna go into this too much as it should have a thread of it's own, but I for one can't see the harm in it.

If it is plugged on WWE TV, I'm sure they won't show any of the revealing photo's on the show(s), and as the mag itself is aimed at mature adult males, I can't see it influencing young girls, many of whom I assume don't watch wrestling.

We are never gonna agree on this so whadya say we just respect each others opinion and leave it at that.

Unless an actual thread is raised on the issue.

okay perhaps i was a little strong in my wording but i do believe that type of modelling is only 2 levels away from prostituion and the original WWF playmate Chyna has made it up that step by being in a porn movie. but at least she is doing so away from the wrestling business. If once they are retired the Divas wanted to do this i would have no problem with it, i just think it's not righ that they do it while they are part of the mainstream.

also you said many of whom don't watch wrestling in reference to the influence on girls... what about the ones that do, surely some kind of example should be set. Also what about the influence on young boys is it okay that they see women paraded as sex objects? and that goes beyond playboy all the way to the B+P matches and all that other stuff that is so blatantly about sex and not wrestling and not all that entertaining either.

*edit* If someone can please make me a simpsons banner with the woman saying 'won't someone please think of the children' on it for future playboy related discussions it would help save me some posting time that can be used elsewhere wher i won't be more or less repeating myself thanks *edit ends*

Porn and tasteful nude pictorals are totally different Tajiri.Granted this country has so many different takes on whats tasteful and whats labeled as disgusting. Taking your clothes off and getting paid for it doesnt make a woman a prostitute. If she sleeps with someone of a higher authority in order to futher her career then shes the true definition of what a prostitute is.

Who are we to say to others whats obscene and whats not? So many people crying foul over what happened with Janet Jackson at the Superbowl halftime show, but yet when Britney Spears french-kissed Madonna it was labled as"Hot!" Thats about as saramonius as you can get dont you think?

It wasnt Janet's fault that Justin Timberlake pulled to hard exposing her breast. But yet there were buck naked streakers running around the Football field for everyone to see.But nobody wanted to talk about that.

Porn indeed degrades Women.Granted.But I do like to watch it for my own personal entertainment.Same can be said about Playboy magazine. Some people like yourself finds this distasteful and totally degrading towards Women.

And you probably feel that it sends the wrong message. One thing about the WWE.Nobody truly looks up to any of these guys as role models based on the things they have to do inside the ring.

Most Women that poses for Playboy arent in the spotlight as much as others are.Especially the Women of the WWE.I mean most of the time these girls are hardly wearing anything most of the time they're on T.V. anyway. These Women are seen once a week.

Compare that to seeing Britney kiss Madonna on a prime-time music show.Little girls looks up to girls like Britney all the time. They watch her on talk shows, videos, and buys her music CDs.

But yet they see her french kiss another women during a live broadcast while children are still watching? Thats a little extreme if you ask me.Plus another issue here:You have different places talking about schools not being able to pray or have a replica of the Ten Commandments but yet millions and millions of dollars is spent worshipping the likes of Harry Potter.(Books and movies) But yet Harry Potter is a warlock.(A male witch)

Different strokes for different folks.America can be so two-faced sometimes.

I know that you have your views on the Playboy/Diva thing and I respect that. But for others we enjoy this kind of thing. Its a fantasy on a page.Something you cant touch but you can see.Its not Porn. Its just another form of entertainment.

The World that we live in has very unusual taste when it comes to how they entertain themselves. But Porn and posing for Playboy are two totally different animals.Does it send a positive message to young Women? Not really. But if a Woman feels shes beautiful enough to be seen by the entire world one way or another then thats her right.Who are we to judge them? We dont know them.

As Jim Ross: Oh my God, The Franchise talked sense, THE FRANCHISE TALKED SENSE.

In my 25/35 yrs (depends on what I'm talking about) in this business, I have never seen anything like it in my life.

What about you King?

lol

hmmm does that mean HHH is possibly a hooker?? sorry just had to bring a little humour in as i feel a rant coming on

Actually they both came clean and admitted that was a set up between them but not with the knowledge of the people in charge, it was only at the start they blamed the wardrobe malfunction

i disagree with that i think many fans look up to the wrestlers and Divas perhaps it is a niech(sp) thing but there are people who look up to wrestlers

actually as the raw and SD! shows do get quite good ratings especially when the NFL season is over i think that the Divas are in the spotlight alot

i agree that the Britney madonna kiss and the justin janet thing were terribly cheap and nasty publicity stunts... but so is Vince getting the Diva's into playboy. Also i don't entirely get the harry potter thing, are you saying that material things or fictional things are getting more attention than morals? i agree with you there

dude i'm scottish lol

i think there are otherways that a woman can show her beauty with out baring all as my avatar of Hamada-san shows, i think pictures with cleavage or covered toplessness folded arms for instance are more alluring than having everything on display... Divas magazine did one like this years ago with Terri Runnels in full body paint shaped like leaves and flowers with real leaves covering what needed to be... that looks good, just naked with everything on display to the world is not

Man that has to bullshit I hope its true imagine seing stephanie with a see through top on and lita full frontal OMG the dreams
Tajiri, you realise that anyone in any form of employment is a prostitute. Anyone classed under the "proletarian" heading is a prostitute. We all do things that others object to. But you can't please all people at all times. If these women are getting paid high money to strip naked, so be it. You don't have to like it or agree with it, but there's stuff out there far greater a worry for young kiddies than what WWE diva poses in Playboy next. It's not like they can reach to the top shelf to find it. They're grown adults who've made the decision to pose. Big deal. Let the parents decide what's good enough for their kids. If they don't want their kids to see it, they should be responsible parents and make sure they don't. If their kids happen to see it anyway, oh well. I doubt it means kids will want to suddenly become Playboy models. For those that probably will end up wanting to, big deal. Someone has to do it, and they've got the choice to persue it or change their minds. Maybe there should be filters set, but a ban? No way. I wanna see Victoria naked, and I'll be damned if some 10 year old kid and his lazy worthless mother who can't be bothered to see what he's doing on his new AOL is gonna ruin it for me.
i didn't realises prostiture had such a broad meaning now i think about it didn't foley say something about it in his promo before the retirement HiaC with HHH?

Much as I wouldn't complain too hard about seeing most of the Divas in the altogether, I somewhat agree with Tajiri_san about the message that they would be sending to young girl fans.
But what about the message that Britney Spears sent out to young girls by giving Madonna some tongue on national T.V.? Most young girls dont even know who the WWE divas are.Plus unless they are die-hard WWE fans that chat online they wouldnt even know that the Divas are considering a Playboy shoot.
i agree that Britney and madonna's stunt was stupid and tasteless. and as for people not kowing the Diva's are doing a shoot if they watch SD and Raw when it happens it will be all over the shows particularly Raw... as well the dumb T+A stuff like Lingerie and B+P matches
But Taijri, If you could see any WWE Diva in some tasteful evening-wear you would'nt jump at the chance to catch a glimpse of her inside a magazine? :devil
