i was just hinking man Austin and Hogan have so much in life and have made so much money why would they care about if they had to lay down for somebody..

i have only seen hogan really lay down to a couple people in the wwe one was Brock adn the other THE ROCK.. Austin has layed down before to vince..

please tell me why after they are past there primes would they care who wins fans are still going to love them no matter what..

if i was a legand in the WWE i would not care who i fought or who i was told to loose too.. it i would get just half of the amount that hogan and Austin gets just for doing 1 match i would lay down in a heart beat.. heck i would even wear a purple bunny suit with pink flowers all over it just to get some of the money they get..

i think both of those guys have become so greedy that they dont care what the fans want all they care about now is what they want

I would lay down for anyone, but yes money is money. But also, i am not a WWE superstar with a huge reputation, if i was then i wouldn't be sure, i mean they have a lot of money anyway, so even though they say they would do it only for the money, they obviously care about their legacy and their reputation so i wouldn't know if i would or not to be honest.

The biggest mistake ever made in the whole of the wrestling business was allowing wrestlers creative control.

Of course the greatest move on the part of wrestlers, was convincing the booker to give them creative control.

Look at it this way: If you're Hulk Hogan, it's the best thing ever, but if you're me, it's not.

Personally i wouldnt mind laying down to anyone in any permotion however i would always want to make the fans remember that match. However i think Wrestlers espically in the WWE should have some sort of creative control after all i believe that they should have a crap load of input and some fueds. However i am strongley aganst the idea of them being able to say "i wont job to you"

If I was able to further someone elses career then I'd have no problem 'laying down'.

I would never refuse to job, but if I had a singles record like Christian, then I'd be questioning my future in the company.

I would lay down for most people.. (melina and trish especially :lol)

but I would refuse sometimes.. like SCSA lying down to Coach... that is ok

but mostly i'd be cool with it. but i would speak up if i was unhappy

If I was a wrestler i'd not have a problem laying down for anyone ever, but thats how I am...

As for why these old wrestklers down... its cos their ego's won't let them, they think they are the big name so they shouldn't have t olose to someone they see as inferior... pathetic really

The fans would love to see you and Big Show in a bra and panties match? Are you sure?

:lol Hell, the way the WWE is going at the moment it could happen! Maybe(Taboo Tuesday spoiler)....

Kane & Big Show put their tag titles on the line against someone and lose them due to a mix up, leading to a feud.

A conversation ensues:

Big Show: So, how we going to settle this then, steel cage, hell in a cell?

Kane: Nope. I've been listening to the fans and know what they want - Bra and panties!

Big Show: Oooh, matron!

I'd lay down if I was asked, but I'd never willingly do it. I wouldn't do it too much and if I was asked to do it all the ime then I would have some select words for Vince.

if i worked for WWE i would lay down for whoever Mr. McMahon asked me to, its his Company and he gets the final say into who wins and who doesnt and if he wants me to lose to....Stevie Richards then thats what i'll do, if he wants Stevie to get over then i'll do whatever i can to get him Over because its Vinces company and if you dont want to do it his way then get out of the way, thats my thinking on it.

I agree with Mr. Perfect, you are working for a boss like in any other job. It's their company, and they make the decisions.

Or he might say 'let me feel your balls' then proceed to grope you as he did to Kevin Walchoz aka Nailz. Walchoz ended up attempting to strangle Vince. Word has it Walchoz settled for money out of court. Ive always wondered a little about Vince you know :lol

I think the problem with the "bigger" stars is that they believe that their persona is bigger than the product.

Guys like Austin believe that retaining the Stone Cold character looking strong (even though he's not been an active wrestler for years) is more important than the story-line.

Hogan had a problem with putting certain people over - apparently he refused to drop the belt to Bret Hart because he thought that he was too small. I'm not sure if he still has this this issue.

Taker also has an issue with putting over certain people - take Cena during the match where he kicked out of the FU, and completely no-sold his apparent injury. I'm not sure how he'd react now that Cena is the WWE Champ, so that would be interesting to see.

Most of the other wrestlers appear not try to have any problem with who they put over - an example is Jericho who almost demanded that HBK win during their match, because HBK was his hero.

It's only the guys who believe that their character is that important that they keep it strong who might have a problem with laying down.

I think guys like HBK, Jericho, Benoit, Angle can get over whether they win or lose because they are such good workers. If two guys are in a classic encounter i.e benoit vs angle rrumble 2003 it really doesn't matter who loses as they make the match seem like a real close contest between 2 equally talented individuals.

Take a guy like Hogan or the taker they can't get away with this so easily. Taker for instance was forced to lie down to an up and comer i.e cena 2 years ago or carlito now i could see why he would refuse. His whole character and therefore career is based on being an unstopable deadman who uses power moves to eliminate his opponents. Now if he can't put away relative newcomers like Carlito or say even Masters and is forced to lie down for them 1...2...3 what chance are we supposed to believe he has against top guys such as Batista or HHH.

Dunno whether you know what i mean but what im trying to say is superior workers i.e benoit and angle can get themselves over without necessraily winning the match more limited guys i.e taker, batista,Cena need to be winning matches to keep themselves over.

Ok then according to various reports Vince Mcmahon grabbed Kevin Walchoz's balls in a sexual manner.

I think you should job to anyone at your level, because it can't hurt you.

But there is a difference between jobbing, and putting people over.

For instance if they are giving say Edge a main event push, and your HHH/Rock whatever, I'd do the job.

But if your Rock or Austin and jobbing to Tajiri for no apparent reason, then it serves no purpose, thus why jobbing to Coach would only hurt you.

Losing to anyone at your level of the card, will never hurt you, losing to people who are way below you, and aren't moving up, will only hurt the higher guy, and probably do nothing for the lower guy.

ok guys i agree with what most of you have said her is my view... wrestling is not real nor are the characters real.. it is a show put on for the fans... you are not a rea wrestler so laying down to somebody is not a big deal unless you get screwed like christian... you are there to make money it is a job.. if you win or loose you still win in the long run because you get a paycheck..

once you are past your prime you should help the new guys out.. if you complain about having to loose then i say you are not being loyal to the compbany that made you a legand in the first place... when they call legends back to a match and have them loose they do it because you are there to help another person become a legend just like you....
