This week unfortunately we have had to focus on the dar side of wrestling (R.I.P Eddie) so i though despite this thread probably being done 50 times we could use a thread to make people chuckle and focus on the brighter side of wrestling..

 

so in this thread add your favourtie wrestling muck ups.. be it botched spots, Commentator mishaps, promo mistakes.. etc, etc,

 

lets try and make it humours and not depressing hey :thumbsup

 

one of my favourite comes from WCW Bash at the Beach when Hogan turned on WCW to join the NWO... the commentators were Tony Schiavani (spelling?) and someone else..

 

as Hogan ran down the ramp the other guy (not Tony) screamed WHO's SIDE IS HE ON?? hinting at the heel turn which people had not thought about yet practically giving the game away.. what made me laugh was Schiavani's response.. WHO's SIDE IS HE ON?? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?!?! and he sounded generally pissed off.... always made me laugh...

Mine is actually an Eddie Guerrero moment.

 

At WM17 against Test, Test was caught up in the ropes, Eddie tried to go through the ropes but because they were in different positions because Test was tied up in them, he fell in between the bottom rope and the two tied ropes to the floor, hilarious to watch.

 

Also I loved it when the drunk fan came into the ring for the Guerrero vs. Van Dam match.

 

Sorry that they are both Guerreros but they are the only ones on my mind atm.

Scott Steiner v Test at Bad Blood, Test is knocked to the outside of the ring and Steiner gets up on the ring apron to attempt a flying clothesline but falls flat on his face two feet away from Test.

 

Ultimo Dragon's WrestleMania XX entrance, he tripped over his cape several times.

 

Kane's failed backdrop attempt on Big Show a couple of weeks back on RAW.

 

Vader falling off the ring apron a couple of weeks ago, also on RAW.

 

Kane falling off the top turnbuckle in his SummerSlam match with RVD a few years back.

 

Kane's attempt at selling the Sweet Chin Music to Shawn Michaels when he missed it clearly by a few feet in the same match where he failed to backdrop Show. That must go down as stinker of the year. Come to think of it, I think Kane has supplied me with more laughs from botches than any other wrestler (apart from maybe Ultimate Warrior).

Oh yeah, Jericho falling off the turnbuckle and slipping off the ropes many times against Rhyno Unforgiven 2001.

Lets see the logic train-

 

Problem - Oh crap i can't pull this guy up for a powerbomb!!! The crowd will laugh at me...waa!

 

Solution - Oh i know! I'll just drop this guy straight on his head with no warning and kill him! That will make the fans happy!

i dont know if many people have noticed this one, but it happened at WM17 when ref earl hebner tried to slip the rock a blade and dropped it on the ground so he pretended to fall on it and cover it up.

Can't remember the PPV, but Trish was crawling on hands and knees across the ring, she BRUSHED against the ref who then fell over like he was shot. :P

That reminds me of the Undertaker match with Mankind ( i think it was, might have been Kane) where Taker can't light the damn lighter to send the "fireball" into Paul Bearer's face. Always made me ask, why didn't Paul just roll out of the ring? He had enough time to roll out of the ring, go backstage, pour himself a coffee, drink it, head back to the ring and sit back in the corner before Taker got the thing lit.

Actually it was due to a puddle of water at the top of the ramp, so as soon as he came out he slipped. Then as his boots were soaked he slipped again.

 

Luckily the next guy out was warned. :P

Randy Orton missing the RKO on Jericho. Kinda sucked, because i'm quite the Orton mark but it was funny as hell.

 

Lesnar botching the Shooting Star Press at Wrestlemania. I never liked him and a friend of mine got hold of some impressive footage of him doing one and we all instantly knew he'd save it for 'mania. As he climbed the turnbuckle I turned to my group of friends and said.. "He's gonna miss this!" *SMACK*

Oh, but it was. I like Bob Holly, but he was being his usual hard headed self, just Bob being Bob if you will. Except now we know he chose the wrong person to be Bob with. What he didn't count on was that Lesnar was strong enough to lift him and drop him on his head even after Holly was deadweighting him.

 

By the way, Cork? Did they have to play so bloody well against the Candystripes on Friday night?

Yeah, it's a little jerky, but in the actual video the force and anger in which Trips locks it in makes it look pretty badass. The first time I say it I did laugh my ass of though.
