The City Or The Suburbs

Suburbs definitely.

We live beside a lake, about 50 miles outside of the city - loads of trees, loads of open space. It's wonderful. :)

Yeah suburbs for me, especially if there is a 24 hour public transport link to the city.

In London Im lucky-I live in the Suburbs about 9 miles from Central London, but love going into the city to party, and as it has an extensive and reliable Night Bus network throughout the whole city, it saves me on hefty cab bills.

Another two examples are New York and Chicago, they both have a 24 hour subway network, so I always take advantage of this fact and book hotels in the suburbs when I holiday there, saving me a lot of money on accomodation.

Another advantage of the suburbs is more peace and tranquility, while most City Centre's in the UK (especially on Friday and Saturday nights) are full of rowdy drunks, can get very noisy and sometimes resemble a war zone.

I love staying at J's, he lives in the next town to me, well its a city, and its like 100x more exciting! You meet loads of groovy people in town, and theres something always happening. His house is about 30 mins from town, so if you wanna escape from the hustle and bustle, just wander off to his. Tis awesome, and better than boring Droitwich!

I'm torn between the two.

The only reason I like living where I do is because it's right next to the biggest music festival in the world, which is awesome.

But I'm usually in the centre of Bristol which is great lots always going on and stabbings,oh I loves a good stabbing...

Lived in the city, lived in the suburbs and lived slap bang in the middle of nowhere. I like the suburbs (more or less where I am now) the best. Close enough to be handy, not close enough to be annoying.

I'd love to go back to living in the city, but I dont think it would be the best thing for my kids, I'd like them to be able to concentrate on growing up than the hustle and bustle of city life. Once they have grown up a little more maybe then I'll move to New York with them but not until they start high school its easier in the suburbs lifes quieter family life is a big thing for me as its my main passion. Suburbs also have a better community spirit, I know everone in my town pretty much and we all do anything for each other.

City without a doubt. Suburbs just scream boring to me. I've lived for ever in the city so Im used to all the traffic and things that go along with living in a crowded place.

I swear when I go to my aunts house in the suburbs I want to commite suicide, it's that boring. But when I grow older (60+) im sure I'll go live in the suburbs.:D
