In the world of pro wrestling many people have been accused of being selfish, of doing whats best for them even if its to the detriment of the product.

Now in this thread I dont want to debate on IF a wrestler is selfish, but what the most selfish thing ever done by the westlers named. If you dont think they are selfish then just leave out that wrestler.

Ok the list I am wondering about is:

HHH

Hogan

Nash

HBK

Undertaker

Austin

Jeff Jarret

Again, just to be clear, I just want the worst thing they did to earn the 'selfish' tag IN YOUR EYES!

I know most people will agree with most, if not all, of them. But I want to know WHY you agree.

As far as Holly goes he is rumoured to be a bully, but he never had the stroke to be selfish really.

I dont want to know about JBL!
Darkstar ONLY wants to know about the wrestlers, ON THE LIST!

Hardcore Holly wasn't on the list :xyx

Anyway, I agree with all of them, although I don't dislike any of them (the wrestlers).

How hard is this to understand? I dont want to know if you agree or think someone else should be included, I just want to know WHY you agree with them. What did they do to epitomize the selfishness!

HHH - Didnt allow Booker T to have the title because HHH wanted to be in the big fued with Goldberg, didnt let Orton have a lenghty Title reign because HHH wanted to Main Event at Mania.

Hogan - didnt let anyone anywhere near the WWF title in the let 80's, early 90'd until Warrior came along.

Nash - didnt want the WCW to drop the nWo angle for other wrestlers to shine

HBK - he once said that he would never allow Bret Hart to go over him.

Undertaker - .....i can only think of the time he went over RVD at Vengeance 01', i dont see Taker as being selfish at all

Austin - claims that he saved WWE single handedly from WCW, well "Austin" without McMahon to beat up all the time and without other superstars to make you look good you want of being rubbish.

Jeff Jarrett - wants everything he can get, he never wants to put anyone over, and by the off chance someone goes over him its never his idea!

I don't agree so much with Shanw Michaels, Undertaker or Austin, but the rest are Main Event grabbers, for better or for worse...

HBK has the record for vacated belts as he didnt want to lose them in the ring. Lost his smile, remember?

Undertakers refusal to put over DDP and made him a laughing stock by having his WIFE pin him.

Austin refused to work with a lot of wrestlers, including Jeff Jarrett.

HHH - I don't think he even comes close with some of the names on the list, but anyway, I'd probably go with the 2003 run. I'm struggling to think of anyone who would of main evented better on RAW, but he should of allowed time of back then. For name value, the feuds he had where good, but he ddin't match that with ring skill, and was totally unorginal throughout it. I think he should of stepped back and let someone else take the ball.

Hogan - The thing is with Hogan is, his being in the main event, is always the right business decision, so it's hard to say. I'd probably go with him and Macho man making themselves look unbeatable at the expense of the rest of the roster, but the majority of the rest of his politicking has helped the company he was with.

Nash - Pretty much all of the politcking he did, because unlike Hulk Hogan, he didn't affect buyrates, or sell merchandise at all. he got pushed as Diesel, and his role in the nWo was highly entertaining, but most of the choices he made, affected WCW, and in a very bad way.

HBK - Simply not jobbing, when it was the right thing to do. I have no problems with anything else, it's just that he should of helped more stars come through, during his prime, and when WWF needed new stars. He put his own ego ahead of helping Vince, and so did Bret. Both are t*ssers for that.

Undertaker - Again, not jobbing and making people look like sh*t, such as Kurt Angle most recently. He got lucky with a straight up sh*t gimmick, and probably needed to cement his status, so used his power backstage to do so.

Austin - Pretty much putting himself first again. I don't have much of a problem with Austin doing it though, much like Hogan, as it was the right decision, but they went about it the wrong way. If you are bad for business, you simply cannot undermine talent, but Austin was better for WWF, than the people he didn't help out, so it's not too bad.

Jeff Jarrett - I don't have much of a problem with Jarrett. TNA is full of wrestlers, who the casual fans have no interest in, and Double J put himself over them, so I see it as 'better the devil you know'. Ideally, sure he would be out of the main event scene, but ideally TNA would have people more worthy, which they don't.

I'm not too sure I understand the question correctly, but I'll give it a go....

HHH Saved me from having to see the abysmal Booker T and tiresome RVD as champ. Ducked out of a major feud with the not at all over Randy Orton, to put over the extremely popular Batista. Great wrestler.

Hogan Was instrumental in the meteoric rise of the WWF empire and wrestling as a whole.

HBK Put's on great match after great match.

Undertaker Is still putting on great matches and after all this time, is still very good for business

Austin The biggest draw of all time. Like Hogan, he has done wonders for wrestling.

HBK has the record for vacated belts as he didnt want to lose them in the ring. Lost his smile, remember?

HBK losing his smile...funny stuff...

Undertaker decided what happened in his DDP feud?

Maybe Austin didn't think that they would click in theur matches.

And they are the most selfish acts they did in wrestling? :P

Undertaker decided what happened in his DDP feud?

no Vince did, and because DDP was fresh out of WCW, Vince wanted to bury him

Maybe Austin didn't think that they would click in theur matches.

Austin didnt think JJ was over enough, e didnt think JJ had what it took basically.

Austin didnt think JJ was over enough.

Well, he wasn't over enough, Austin may have just dodged a bullet there.

Well' date=' he wasn't over enough, Austin may have just dodged a bullet there.[/quote']

actually JJ dodged a bullet, if Austin would of agreed JJ wouldnt of went to WCW to win the US & World Title.

Of the people listed, only Hogan, Taker and Jarrett have truly been selfish. The others have put over plenty of rookies who aren't even around anymore.

Thank God he did too. :roll

HHH... stopped Booker and RVD from being stars in hi8s abysmal 2002/03 run

Hogan.. used his creative control too much and used TNA back in 2002/03 not sre what it was to get WWE's intrest

Nash... stopped Goldberg's undefeated streak

HBK.. i'm a HBK fan so i can't really think of much.. he reportedly said he wouldn't put Bret over ever..

Undertaker.. probably put himself over too much don't really know

Austin.. same as Taker

Jeff Jarret.. kept the NWA title too long.. and he wasn't needed to have it
