At Saturday Night's Main Event, the participants in the WrestleMania 22 main events will collide when the RAW team of WWE Champion John Cena & Triple H takes on the SmackDown trio of Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio & the World Heavyweight Champion.

 

On the Feb. 27 edition of RAW, Cena & Triple H went face to face, trying to get the psychological advantage before their WWE Championship Match on April 2. After the two men jawed back and forth and looked ready to come to blows, WWE Chairman Mr. McMahon interrupted the showdown. McMahon announced that on Saturday Night's Main Event, the two would have to co-exist as partners and represent Raw against the three men in the SmackDown main event in a Handicap Match.

 

While their is no love lost between Cena & The Game, the SmackDown team is just as tense. Randy Orton & Rey Mysterio, the two challengers for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania, have been at each other's throats since Rey eliminated the Legend Killer to win the Royal Rumble Match. Joining them will be the Wrestling Machine, Kurt Angle. Will Angle be able to coexist with his two WrestleMania challengers?

 

Will the numbers game prove to be too much for The Champ & The Game, or will the RAW team overcome the odds and be victorious? Tune in to Saturday Night's Main Event on March 18 to find out.

Could certainly be interesting, i'd like to see Trips go up against Angle again, but i reckon it'll degenerate into a predictable mass brawl within about 5 minutes! Still......

Agreed, that's what i'm watching it for!

I just hope that Stone Cold comes, Stunners JBL like 5 times, drinks beer and that's about it.

I think WWE will have to tone it down a bit for NBC, so I doubt the street fight will be too spotastic.

Drake, no offense, but it always annoys me when people says that "Stone Cold stunners JBL (for example)". It reminds me of this annoying kid I used to hang out with. I'm not preaching good grammar, but the proper term would be stuns.

 

Dave. Gene, that was exactly my point. The Beer Drinking will actually be the worst thing on the show. The only reason the Divas match isn't is because I see a heel turn happening in that match. I don't know about WWE toning it down for NBC, it's live anyways, isn't it???

 

I'm glad J.R. is returning, but it's dissapointing that he more than likely won't be coming back permanently. Hopefully Vince don't drag him into another situation like J.R. has been in so many times before, but given what was said on RAW, I wouldn't be surprised.

It's not live, it's on a three hour tape delay, plenty of time to get the heat machine warmed up.

I disagree, if he did 'stun' him yes it would, but the move name is a stunner, so he gets stunnered. You get 'Pedigreed', 'f5ed', 'tombstoned' ect, just becouse 'to stun' means more than 'to tombstone' doesnt mean you should use that context.

The side effect of being stunnered would be getting stunned possibly. ;)

Well TPIB, have you ever heard a commentator say ''Stone Cold ''Stunned'' [-Insert oponnents name-]'' instead of saying ''Austin stunners JBL/Taker?

I'm really excited for the event. It looks to be a decent show with some hopefully good matches to take place.

I'm looking forward to this, it will be great to see Austin back and with JBL being such a great talker it should be a good confrontation.

 

I doubt the main event will have a finish.

I'm curious to see how close to the original they keep the look, feel and format of the show, if any.

Should be a good show.

Well IMO there's not enought time to promote a feud the magnitud that is Hogan vs Austin, I mean Wrestle Mania is like what 2 weeks away?

 

Let's face it the only thing that was gonna make this feud exciting was gonna be the build-up, cause both guys aren't in top shape for the wrestling match. So with only 2 weeks left till Wrestle Mania I don't see Vince starting the feud just now. There's always next year. Why rush such an anticipated feud just to squish it in at this years WM?

 

Just wait till next year and have the proper build up that these feud deserves.
