JBL as world champ is suicide.
How many people thought that before he won it the first time?

JBL was a credible heel WHC, and won over a lot of people......and if he gets some mic time to diss ECW after winnign the belt and at ONS2, then that will be even better........JBL will be the best, most logical choice for RVD to go over IMO.

I think JBL vs R.v.D is a great idea. As far as i'm aware last years One Night Stand didn't get the number of buys that WWE had hoped for. Their wasn't much their for the WWE fan. Fans who have never seen ECW or don't care for it stayed away.

I feel JBL vs RVD for the WWE title could be the thing to attract WWE fans who didn't purchase last years event. The match would have tons of heat to start with, then add that ECW crowd, some quality JBL promos and i'd bet it'd be a ratings winner for sure. Let the ECdub stars go out their and put on a good show with plenty of solid in-ring action. Then let R.V.D do his best with JBL. The match won't matter a great deal as long as Rob goes over.

I haven't come across to many fans who'd begrudge him a turn with the belt. I for one am curious to see what Vandam can do given the chance to shine on the World Heavyweight scene. WWE needs someone to break through badly, R.V.D's always been touted as a future main event level star. His time to step up looks to be around the corner. Weather it's going to be R.V.D vs JBL, John Cena or HHH i'm looking forward to seeing were this latest push takes him.

JBL as world champ is suicide' date=' I honestly don't know anybodythat likes JBL more than Angle/Benoit or Mysterio, thats only in real life of course, but to me JBL is nothing more than one half of the APA, a tag team that Idid like a lot, but as a singles guy/bully, he's awful.[/quote']

Hello? Are you an eight year-old mark? Of course people prefer Angle, Benoit and Mysterio but have you ever heard of a heel champion? People aren't supposed to like him. Mysterio and Angle are both getting surgery anyway. THEY CAN'T BE CHAMPIONS!!

I quite liked JBL as champ, he was the old school heel champ, i like that element. I would think JBL vs RVD would be better, like said the match would have bags of heat, cus JBL ripped ECW everytime he talked abot them, ECW fans probably hate JBL and is seen as a Vince kiss-up. Although JBL is a good worker and is improved soo much, I think the match will be of a good quality. HHH vs RVD woould be a good thing to cus HHH is like the Anti-christ of ECW he is Vince's son basically and he would get so much heat easily too Cena would get alot of heat too as almost everyone hates Cena. I think the best match choices for RVD (Match quality wise) would either be Edge or HHH IMO.

But i like the unpredictablity of who RVD is gonna face, im a huge WHole ****in Show mark so im gonna be pumped watching him face whoever and goin over so, in the end whoever he faces will probably have the desired effect on me anyway.

So it's JBL challenging Rey Mysterio for the World Heavyweight Championship at Judgment Day.

Why have JBL take the United States Championship off Chris Benoit at Wrestlemania then? :?

At least Benoit could have had a feud and then defended it at that pay-per-view.

I think JBL's World Heavyweight Title push is part of a contingency plan. If he does win the title, I can't imagine him holding on to it for while.

    • When the Carolina Panthers signed Andy Dalton earlier this offseason, they had their soon-to-be No. 1 overall pick in mind. Why not roster a 12-year veteran and three-time Pro Bowler to consult with your rookie quarterback? But what the Panthers might not have known is that Dalton also has some chops as a fashion consultant. Dalton, Bryce Young and Matt Corral looked a bit different—perhaps slimmer depending on who you ask—when they hit the practice field on Monday. Instead of donning the usual red practice jerseys, the trio began the latest installment of organized team activities in black—a change inspired by the 35-year-old passer. Corral was really loving the switch. Here were his thoughts, courtesy of Panthers.com’s Darin Gantt: Gantt also got a few words from the fashion icon himself: It’s not as powerful as “Keep Pounding,” but perhaps the Panthers can look good, feel good and play good into the 2023 campaign. • The NFC South returned to its 2014 form this past season. (For those who aren’t exactly acquainted with the “NFSW South,” yeah, it’s not good.) An 8-9 record, one mustered up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was good enough to take the division’s 2022 crown. Behind them were the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons—all of whom finished at 7-10. So, will this year be different? Join us in our Wire Network roundtable—featuring managing editors Matt Urben (Falcons Wire), John Sigler (Saints Wire) and River Wells (Bucs Wire)—as we set our realistic expectations for each team in 2023. • Russell Okung may have never been called “fast” during his 11-year NFL career. But now, he’s embraced a different kind of fast in finding life after football. Almost two months ago—on Easter Sunday, to be exact—the former Carolina Panthers offensive lineman tweeted out a picture displaying the fruits of his dramatic body transformation. Once 330 pounds, a slender Okung looked precisely how the caption of the post read—”Reborn.” So, how did he do it? On Monday night, the 34-year-old answered that question: Okung added the following in a series of additional tweets: The 2010 sixth overall pick and two-time Pro Bowler played his final professional season with the Panthers in 2020. So, by our and Okung’s calculations, that was about three years and over 100 pounds ago. • The Dallas Cowboys started their week by bringing in seven players for a look—and among them was a former Carolina Panthers quarterback. Jacob Eason worked out for “America’s Team” on Monday. The 25-year-old passer was released by the Panthers back on May 18. Eason cracked into the pros as a fourth-round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2020. He appeared in his first NFL game in Week 2 of the 2021 campaign—when he completed two of his five passes for 25 yards and a pick against the Los Angeles Rams. After being waived by the Colts later that season, and then by the Seattle Seahawks in the summer of 2022, Eason landed in Carolina at the start of last season. In what would be his lone outing for the Panthers, the 6-foot-6, 231-pounder mopped up to finish off the Week 6 loss to the Rams (again)—where he threw for 59 yards and an interception. • Should the Carolina Panthers play it out with CJ Henderson in 2023 or pass him on to the next spot before the summer is over? Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox thinks they should be of the latter thought, opining that a split with the 24-year-old cornerback may be best for both sides. Henderson was acquired by the Panthers in a 2021 swap with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who made the University of Florida product the ninth overall pick just a year earlier. Carolina parted ways with tight end Dan Arnold and a 2022 third-round pick for the defender and a 2022 fifth-rounder. Similarly to his brief time in Jacksonville, Henderson has not been able to stick on in Charlotte—having struggled over much of his 27-game stint for his new squad. His roughest outing, perhaps, came in what was essentially the NFC South title game this past season—when he was a prominent part of the coverage that allowed 207 yards and three touchdowns to Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Mike Evans. The Panthers declined Henderson’s fifth-year option back on May 1.
