Its a good idea to extend his contract so he can have feuds with both Kurt Angle and Batista when they're both recover from their injuries.

I for one have enjoyed Henry since he came back. He has been booked superbly and has been put over as a real monster and for once, for once, WWE can be praised for taking a star who seemed dead in the water and booking him up into a credible main eventer. It would be daft to not give him an extension

Henry's run at the moment is going well, it does seem like common sense to keep him on for another year. I'd have more good things to say about him, but I'm still bitter about him pinning Mysterio cleanly on SD.

Idiot booking to have him go over Mysterio clean. I want to kill whoever thought up that idea.

Pleasantly surprised that he got an extension, it's more than deserved for a much improved run which has seen some good matches and some good promos. Well done to him.

Good matches and good promo's? I really hope thats sarcasm or i suggest you get your eyes and ears checked.

 

Mark Henry has not had one match this year which could even be classed as average or above. And the only thing worse than his matches are is terrible promo's. He reminds me of the kid in the wheel chair from malcom in the middle. I can just see him taking an inhaler during his long breath promo's. He injured Batista (they said he injured Kurt Angle too, but that's clearly just a work, Angle was already injured, and him leaving there fits perfectly with Booker T's cowardly gimmick for the KOTR) I can only hope the only reason WWE have given him an extension is to bury him to bring down any momentum he may have in fear of TNA getting one of there main eventers.

agree with the above. I aint a fan. His matches just dont do anything for me and his promos stink.

 

I have never rated him as main event but thats just My opinion.

Two good matches with Mysterio, two decent Smackdown matches with Taker come straight to the mind, must be those damn cataracts though, I can't have actually enjoyed them.

And there's not a damn thing wrong with his promos, straight to the point, no nonsense and he delivers them well.

Look, like him or not. He's been BOOKED pretty well, and im no fan of his believe me, but i do believe as long as he's booked as a monster heel, who does the job when required, no complaints, his contract is not guaranteed either this time, which apparently means they CAN still release him if required. That should keep the smarks happy!

I don't mind Henry at all. Plays the monster heel well enough. His promos are fine, straight to the point and you just get the impression (his character) is pissed off with everyone and anyone which at times is funny when he trash talks in the ring. Looks to be an established main eventer heel and WWE are obviously extending the contract so they must be at least happy with what he's done so far. Edited May 7, 2006 by rawiswar

So basically WWE have offered him a 2 year deal, which lasts long enough so they can get Smackdown's main event back up and running and build new stars, then when this new contract ends he's gone

He is nowhere near as bad as some people say....and he at least looks credible as a threat to the faces.......

 

Quick question......ask people who don't really watch wrestling, or the most casual of fans, who they feel would be a more credible champion Mark Henry or Rey Mysterio......I'd wager a few bucks that most, if not all, would say Henry looks more credible.

 

And he did not injure Big Dave....he was involved in the match, but it was Dave who injured himself during the house-show match......

I'm not a fan of Mark Henry but WWE have spent so much time building him up for the last few months, portraying him as a monster who has put Batista and Angle out of action. After all of that there was no way they could have let him walk into TNA.

I don't like Henry, but would have to admit that he has had a good run since his return. But he took away Batista which i'm just pretty p***ed about, but Dave was already hurt so i can't 100% belame him. Same with Angle he was alright hurting.
