The heel turn(if he does it)will be for the ECW PPV. Probably something similar to Joey Style's promo last week.

Or he would go the other direction and do a anti-hardcore type thing. Trying to piss the crowd off by doing Ric Flair type of matches.

Foley can judge a crowd and with that ability he can tell what they dont want to hear.

so after 5 or 6 mins of him ripping the crowd to shreads they WILL turn on him.

people know what the game is all about i mean Austin did it well HHH in one move went from being a god to the fans in D-X to reciving death threats. and the Rock!! well nuff said .

Wrestlers with the ability to read a crowd can do what they want.

Well I am all for this to be honest, maybe he will be heel in the ecw brand and actually be wrestling a lot more, he will build them up so much. Just imagine a Rhino vs. Cactus Jack/Mick Foley match, this is good news, and like everyone has said, he can do heel very well and he is just brilliant with his promos and can really get people to hate him, look at the heel turn just after WM 14 after the cage match the night after Mania i think, that was a brilliant promo and that turned everyone straight away.

I would imagine that the heel turn will just focus towards Anti-ECW sentiments...as the use of Tommy Dreamer as an opponent on Raw seems to have some mild indication of it.

So my thoughts is just that he'll be the typical WWE Anti-ECW Heelish participant...as we saw last year with a fair bunch of WWE stars.

Only Foley has the real potential of truly getting proper heel heat, 'cause he is so darned capable of getting fans either for or against him.

I also reckon that not all fans'll go along with the heel aspect, simply because some of them may not be overly fond of ECW and will enjoy cheering along at relevant points. Oo

I might just be crazy though, heh.

People in California don't care enough about Tommy Dreamer or ECW.

Trying to get ECW over in a town it never ran in is a joke; I know there isn't long till ONS2 and this thing was done on a whim, but the whole angle should have been saved for New York or Philly.

I think the turn will work because Foley will cut some great promos in the coming weeks.

And energy for 'ECW' can easily be revived with a hot show or even a hot crowd, because the crowd were dead.

Sure the turn wasnt that great, but all we need is one killer Foley promo, and everything will be fine.

Revive the "Cane Dewey" or "Anti Hardcore" promos or even the pleading with Dreamer to go to WCW for his own safety style of thing again... that would work.

    • When the Carolina Panthers signed Andy Dalton earlier this offseason, they had their soon-to-be No. 1 overall pick in mind. Why not roster a 12-year veteran and three-time Pro Bowler to consult with your rookie quarterback? But what the Panthers might not have known is that Dalton also has some chops as a fashion consultant. Dalton, Bryce Young and Matt Corral looked a bit different—perhaps slimmer depending on who you ask—when they hit the practice field on Monday. Instead of donning the usual red practice jerseys, the trio began the latest installment of organized team activities in black—a change inspired by the 35-year-old passer. Corral was really loving the switch. Here were his thoughts, courtesy of Panthers.com’s Darin Gantt: Gantt also got a few words from the fashion icon himself: It’s not as powerful as “Keep Pounding,” but perhaps the Panthers can look good, feel good and play good into the 2023 campaign. • The NFC South returned to its 2014 form this past season. (For those who aren’t exactly acquainted with the “NFSW South,” yeah, it’s not good.) An 8-9 record, one mustered up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was good enough to take the division’s 2022 crown. Behind them were the Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons—all of whom finished at 7-10. So, will this year be different? Join us in our Wire Network roundtable—featuring managing editors Matt Urben (Falcons Wire), John Sigler (Saints Wire) and River Wells (Bucs Wire)—as we set our realistic expectations for each team in 2023. • Russell Okung may have never been called “fast” during his 11-year NFL career. But now, he’s embraced a different kind of fast in finding life after football. Almost two months ago—on Easter Sunday, to be exact—the former Carolina Panthers offensive lineman tweeted out a picture displaying the fruits of his dramatic body transformation. Once 330 pounds, a slender Okung looked precisely how the caption of the post read—”Reborn.” So, how did he do it? On Monday night, the 34-year-old answered that question: Okung added the following in a series of additional tweets: The 2010 sixth overall pick and two-time Pro Bowler played his final professional season with the Panthers in 2020. So, by our and Okung’s calculations, that was about three years and over 100 pounds ago. • The Dallas Cowboys started their week by bringing in seven players for a look—and among them was a former Carolina Panthers quarterback. Jacob Eason worked out for “America’s Team” on Monday. The 25-year-old passer was released by the Panthers back on May 18. Eason cracked into the pros as a fourth-round draft pick of the Indianapolis Colts in 2020. He appeared in his first NFL game in Week 2 of the 2021 campaign—when he completed two of his five passes for 25 yards and a pick against the Los Angeles Rams. After being waived by the Colts later that season, and then by the Seattle Seahawks in the summer of 2022, Eason landed in Carolina at the start of last season. In what would be his lone outing for the Panthers, the 6-foot-6, 231-pounder mopped up to finish off the Week 6 loss to the Rams (again)—where he threw for 59 yards and an interception. • Should the Carolina Panthers play it out with CJ Henderson in 2023 or pass him on to the next spot before the summer is over? Bleacher Report’s Kristopher Knox thinks they should be of the latter thought, opining that a split with the 24-year-old cornerback may be best for both sides. Henderson was acquired by the Panthers in a 2021 swap with the Jacksonville Jaguars, who made the University of Florida product the ninth overall pick just a year earlier. Carolina parted ways with tight end Dan Arnold and a 2022 third-round pick for the defender and a 2022 fifth-rounder. Similarly to his brief time in Jacksonville, Henderson has not been able to stick on in Charlotte—having struggled over much of his 27-game stint for his new squad. His roughest outing, perhaps, came in what was essentially the NFC South title game this past season—when he was a prominent part of the coverage that allowed 207 yards and three touchdowns to Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Mike Evans. The Panthers declined Henderson’s fifth-year option back on May 1.
