So I was wandering through Tesco, money burning a hole in my pocket, buying the new OutKast album (it's cheaper there).

BUt as I passed the rather unimpressive games sections, one title caught my eye.

The strange artwork, and the even stranger screens on the bak appealed to me, and I bought it.

Dear God how I love it...

I've been playing it for.... I'd say 17 hours straight, and I'm loving it, oh so very much.

The sheer absurdity, and the Burton style animation (which appeals to my emo side) have my heart. The superb gameplay, the creepy story, and yes, even the glitchy bits.

Just wondering, has anyone else played it, and loved it?

If not, I sooooooooooooooooooooooo advise you to try it!!

When I had a PS2 I had it and it was really good but I never got around ot completing it, and you are right the graphical style is something else. The different worlds are increadably cool especially the fish and the crazy guy, though the Levitation teacher with the 60's club style level is fantastic too.
The guy who makes this game was a former employee of LucasArts and also made the Grim Fandango game, he just makes good games
The milkman conspiracy is my favourite level so far. Once again, its the absurdity and ming boggling layout. Definitley not a game for those who like the magic puffs
Its great. Sadly overlooked. Much like Alien Hominid, and Viewtiful Joe, and especially Killer 7, which i absolutely adore.

Microsoft signed Tim Schafer up after Grim Fandango to try and bolster their exclusive range for the original Xbox, of course it being Microsoft they dropped him and his studio a few months before Psychonauts was released.

Pitty, it was a fantastic game that got little if any promotion and sold very poorely as a result.

It looks like Double Fine Productions have tied up a deal to work with Vivendi so could me more from them in the future.
