Game over for the McMahon MSG legacy?

ย

Next week on RAW, Mr. McMahon will do something heโ€™s always dreamed about: headline a WWE event at Madison Square Garden. The Chairman will step into the ring and square off against Triple H one week before DX faces the McMahons and ECW World Champion Big Show at Unforgiven in a Hell in a Cell Match.

ย

On ECW on Sci Fi, DX proved they'll go to extreme measures to avoid another beating like the one they suffered at the hands of Mr. McMahon and his lead pipe on RAW a few weeks ago. Will Triple H be able to carry his momentum from ECW on Sci Fi with him when he takes on the Chairman this Monday on RAW? Will Mr. McMahon walk out victorious in his first headlining match at the Garden?

ย

Cena to SmackDown?

John Cena could be making his final RAW appearance at MSG next Monday night. If Cena loses to WWE Champion Edge at Unforgiven, heโ€™ll be relocated to SmackDown for the next three yearsโ€ฆ and the Rated R Superstar would like nothing more then to send his archrival away for good. SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long was at RAW last week to scout his potential new Superstar, but does Cena have anything in store to ensure heโ€™ll remain a RAW Superstar?

ย

Six-Man Tag Team Encounter

In a preview of Unforgiven, a huge Six-Man Tag Team Match will take place on RAW at the World's Most Famous Arena when John Cena, Carlito and Jeff Hardy collide with WWE Champion Edge, Randy Orton and Intercontinental Champion Johnny Nitro. This massive tag team match is the last stop for each of these competitors before their respective matches at Unforgiven. What will transpire when all six men explode at MSG?

The last Raw before Unforgiven. It will be very interesting to see what else happens to build the PPV up on a very welcome return to Madison Square Garden for the WWE.
I am almost certain Cena is going to SD.

It is definatly nice to sse the WWE return to Madison Square Garden I hope that they put on a good show. It is probably good for the WWE as a whole that they do not have regular shows at MSG, as it creates a more special feeling when WWE return and should pull in a few more viewers.

ย

I am looking forward to RAW this week. I'm especially looking forward to seeing how Mcmahon and Triple H match will turn out. It won't be technicaly great that's for sure, I can see there being interference on both sides from Michaels and expect Big Show to appear at some point.

ย

The six man tag team match also looks okay, although it is the second week in a row that the WWE have done a six man match, but I guess it's a nice way to give three feuds a better building up than none at all.

ย

I imagine that we will also see quite a few references to 09/11 five years on after the tragedy. I just hope the WWE don't go over-board with this and spoil what could be a good RAW.

Should hopefully be a decent Raw, the Unforgiven card seems pretty much settled so they won't have to make any matches off the cuff this week. They should be able to build the Unforgiven card rather nicely.
Anybody see Kane pinning Umaga at the event?
I'm getting a bit tired of this DX thing. It's 10 years old now as is the Mr. Mcmahon angle. Its all a bit repetitive. I maintain that RAW and particularly Smackdown are being underwritten. At the moment every belt in WWE is held by heels. It gets boring seeing every title being won by screwjobs. The tag teams are anonymous and eerything seems to be reverting toa 1980's style. Eventually, we'll tune in to interviews that name the feud and descend into incoherent grunts. WWE is going downhill at the moment.

I just want to see Hardy:thumbsup :worship :thumbsup . He should be facing Edge in a TLC match not that neanderthal look-alike Cena.

ย

Knowing WWE, expect Big Show, Finlay and co. to interfere and beat up Triple H and Micheals. I think the 6 man tag should be quite good

You think that Jeff Hardy is WWE Champion level material?

ย

The guy is just a spot money, he can't wrestle anything more than leaping off of the turnbuckle, and he's HORRIBLE on the mic.

ย

If you think that him being able to throw himself off of high places qualifies him for a WWE shot, then Super Crazy will be in line next, and Paul London will be in with a shot soon - hell, Kidman should have been right up there.

ย

ย

Being a World level Champion takes more than the ability to leap about, it means that you have to be able to entertain inside and outside of the ring - Edge, Cena, HHH, Batista, King Booker, Angle, Rock, SCSA and many others can do that, Jeff Hardy is not somebody who springs to mind when I think "entertainment"!

There will be some sort of reference to 9/11. I hope it is all about Raw and not about that tragic day.
Is this Cena's last Raw? Please god, I hope so

ย

Cena and DX in MSG. I can hear the boos already.

Too be honest I really can't be bothered tonight! Not a single thing gets me excited about RAW tonight.

ย

A Meh 6 Man, Trish V Mickie AGAIN! and Vince V HHH.

ย

I'll tape it as usual but I hope it is better then I except!

Jeff Hardy is not somebody who springs to mind when I think "entertainment"!

ย

nors Batista, boring in the ring, crap on the mike, only reason he's there is HHH

It's very good that they can use this show as a build up. On the past few PPV's there have always been matches announced on the show before the PPV or with the GAB match changes announced on the night. I think this RAW should be a decent showing, especially with the WWE's return to MSG since April 2005 but I hope they don't go to overboard with it being 9/11, i'm sure Lillian will sing Star Spangled Banner or the National Anthem but they should leave it at that.
I wouldn't be surprised if this weeks 'week in history' features the Bossman and Akeem.

WWE Over do it! Never

I wonder if the Raw Superstars visited Ground Zero today? If they did they will most likely show that on Raw tonight as well. I really don't mind if WWE overdo it on the 9/11 stuff today as it is fresh in everyone's minds and most people in attendance will have probably lost someone on that day 5 years ago.
Well RAW's on MSG and it's 9/11 today, so of course they're gonna show a BUNCH of footage from the troops and 9/11 related videos.
il probably watch Raw live tonight. ive got loads of homework to do. so il be up for quite a while still. it should be good. im looking forward to the 6 man tag.

I'll catch the repeat - Damn step brother sleeps on the couch, so I'd have to watch in the other room, and there's no WAY I wanna keep quiet during Trips Vs Vince. XDD

ย

Oh, but I'm SO catching Unforgiven...Oo...That's not up for debate, heh heh.
