This isnt from any website or whatever, this is pure first hand experience. Now Im all for hyping up consoles and stuff to try shift as many as possible, but I went in Gamestation in Birmingham yesterday and I can honestly say I thought it was OTT.

See as you walk in, for the past god knows how many months, downstairs had been boarded off. As you walk in theres all the 360 stuff, and then as you move along theres absolutely everything, including a shedload of retro games.

When I went in yesterday, I looked downstairs and the wall was painted 360 colours. Not 360 the amount, but the colours of the console. So I went down, and what I thought was OTT, and just a little ace. Was a complete level, almost as big as upstairs, with Xbox 360s to play on with beanbags/sofas to play on, and all they sold was Xbox 360 consoles and games.

I dunno if this is the only one thats done it, but i seriously hope they do something similar with PS3

Well when the PS3 arrives in Europe in 2009 I'm sure we'll find out :xyx

Since the 360 has been out for over 6 months, I wouldn't expect it to happen immediately, otherwise it's bias.

Regarding the paintwork though, it's a fantastic idea for them to do this - if it gets more people buying the 360 now, then the market will be "saturated" with Next-Gen consoles, which can only be a good thing.

I don't think my local GameStation would have space for it. I'd find a 360 show-suite rather tacky myself.

Yep. Cos then the reduce the price so cheap basts like myself can buy one!:xyx

You said the magic word GAMESTATION :) thats the only place i shop for games (unless they are cheaper elsewhere) but 99% of the time i shop at gamestation, the staff seem to be more clued up than in game.
