I never liked Bioshock, i found it boring to play and i felt that it was overly hyped however i wont carry on knocking the game because i believe that is going to be a massive game in 09 when it is released
Possibly my favourite game of all time (barring maybe RE4)...I loved it, cant wait for the sequel.
It's definitely my favourite game of all time.The only thing that worries me about the sequel is how another story can come out of Rapture.Maybe it will be set around the fall of Rapture with rioting and whatnot on new years eve 59.Guess we have a long wait to find out.

They *might* be able to have it follow on from the bad ending, though a prequel is a bit more likely. Either way this sounds good.
I was disappointed with the ending too.Another thing they need to do is get rid of the vita chambers.
Fantastic game it will be hard to top though.

By bad ending I didn't mean the ending was bad, I meant the ending you get for harvesting the Little Sisters instead of saving them.

I see what you mean but I thought both endings were underwhelming after what had gone before.Even though I didn't particularly like the endings they seemed to suggest that it was a self-contained story so a prequel seems like the way to go.

As far as i understood it Mr Ryan is still alive, therefore a sequel would be pretty straightforward . He escaped and created another Rapture maybe in another time maybe the 70's for a very different look and feel.

one of the very best games from the last couple of years i would have to agree there,although i preferred System shock 2 .

I think you'll find being smacked repeatedly in the head with a putter is pretty deadly.

Not when you have Vita Chambers nearby tuned only to your DNA, of course Ryan knew this hence he giving the command to kill himself.

It's a rumor no more folks! Take-Two Interactive has officially confirmed the development of BioShock 2, and has revealed that the game is slated for a release late next year. Now with that big daddy of a news aside, let's move on to more news from T2.

Despite all this talk of a takeover from Electronic Arts, it's still business as usual for Take-Two. They've just released their financial report for the first quarter of 2008 and they're doing pretty well with a net revenue of US$ 240.4 million for the quarter.

Along with all the financial figures which essentially mean they're hunky dory, they've also announced a couple of things a lot of you might want to know. First of all, they reiterated the April 19 release date of Grand Theft Auto 4. No more delays, nosiree.

While they also re-confirmed that episodic content will be coming for the game, they only listed it for the Xbox 360. EGM earlier reported that episodic content for the PlayStation 3 version is still being considered, so we'll have to wait for more on that.

They've also announced (in case you didn't already know) the development of Mafia 2 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC), the sequel to the popular hit of the same name (without the extra digit). Here's the rest of their line-up of games for the rest of 2008:

* Carnival Games (DS)

* Carnival Games: Mini-Golf (Wii)

* Don King Presents: Prizefighter (Xbox 360, Wii, DS)

* Grand Theft Auto IV (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360)

* Grand Theft Auto IV episodic content (Xbox 360)

* Major League Baseball 2K8 Fantasy All-Stars (DS)

* Midnight Club: Los Angeles (Xbox 360, PS3)

* NBA 2K9 (Multiple platforms)

* NHL 2K9 (Multiple platforms)

* Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution (Xbox 360, PS3, DS)

* Top Spin 3 (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, DS)

Not when you have Vita Chambers nearby tuned only to your DNA, of course Ryan knew this hence he giving the command to kill himself.

The Vita Chamber was turned off.

Yeah Ryan had turned off the local Vita Chamber after making the decision to die on his own terms.This is why he kept saying "A MAN CHOOSES! A SLAVE OBEYS!"HE was ashamed his own son had been reduced to a puppet and that his life and work were all destroyed.
It just occurred to me that I probably play and think about this game too much

I didn't see the part where they said the Vita Chambers were turned off, i must have missed it.

However that makes his "suicide" even more stranger, from what we had learned of the man it doesn't seem likely he would kill himself.

Ah well c'est la vie.

Still a great game ( but to easy towards the end when you are powered up).
