When RAW rolls into Oakland, CA on Monday night, Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho has high hopes that Shawn Michaels will be there to join him on a special episode of the Highlight Reel.

In recent weeks, Y2J has been sending mixed signals. During his Judgment Day Match against Michaels, Jericho chomped at the notion of taking out The Showstopper. Then, at One Night Stand, Jericho willed Michaels on in his losing effort against Batista. And last week, Y2J even dedicated his match against JBL to a recovering Michaels.

What exactly does the Intercontinental Champion have in mind by inviting HBK onto the Highlight Reel? And exactly which Chris Jericho will show up?

On a more moneyed note, Mr. McMahon explained last week that he’s poised to give out $1 million of his own money to show his appreciation to loyal RAW viewers in McMahon’s Million Dollar Mania contest.

Have you registered to win Mr. McMahon’s money yet? If not, what are you waiting for?

In other RAW action, John Cena defeated Jeff Hardy last week and won an opportunity to face Triple H for the WWE Title at Night of Champions. In the lead up to the pay-per-view, how will these two opponents prove their dominance? And which of them will capture the momentum in the run-up to Night of Champions?

Find out all the answers to these questions and more on Monday Night RAW, live at 9/8c on the USA Network and on Tuesday at 2AM on Sky Sports 3 (with a replay on Thursday at 9:30PM).

If all that weren’t enough, don’t forget the seismic shift that’s sure to occur in two weeks when WWE holds its brand-wide draft.

Well.....

That was a disaster. Nice work Vince.

Rick Astley? Hahaha! McMahon's face was a picture.
Ha Ha Vince got rick rolled on his first call and second calls. Hilarious.:lol:lol
:lol that did amuse me!

ROFL!

Vince got Rick Roll'd on national television. :lol

I can't see how this will have any other effect than people turning off in their droves. It's about as exciting as a Mark Henry match.

Y2J giving HBK what he deserves :) I had some flashbacks of HBK putting Jannetty through the glass window with that tv spot. I'm so looking forward to Jericho as a heel again. Hope WWE doesn't drop the ball with him and books him properly as a heel (they didn't do the best at times after his return being a face).

Pretty boring RAW thus far but I've been distracted up until that last segment. I actually was on the phone for the Mae Young segment which pissed me off. Always enjoy a Mae Young segment :xyx

Love King's comment's that the tag team of Umaga and Snitsky "Are uglier than Hulk Hogan's divorce" and "Snitsky has a face only a fist could love.":P:P
Well.....

It was a good show tonight very amusing and lots to keep us entertained. I disagree it was a disaster. At the very least it was new and refreshing and the Jericho heel turn was unexpected. The one thing I do agree with is nice work Vince.

I again disagree. I actually sat and watched the whole thing which isn't something I do ever week.

You didn't expect Jericho to turn heel?

Mcmahon geting Rick Rolled. Hilarious, really was. I also wouldnt like to be the girl who won $2.

Yes, its finally happened. Jericho finally had enough, he finally snapped, hes finally turned heel! And what better way to do it than to smash Shawn Michaels head through a TV screen? Brilliant. I really hope it gets booked right, because its the least the fans deserve.

I hated the finish to the Cena-JBL match again, i mean JBL kicks Cena's ass for 10 minutes, Cena comes back, JBL clothesline from hell, gets distracted, and Cena wins with the rather weak looking roll up.

Good ol' Charlie Haas, comes back from the caves after ages, gets booed out of the building, kisses Maria and Mae Young and wins someone $120,000. Great.

Mickie vs Beth was an ok match, kinda obvious that it would lead into another Melina-Beth scrap at the end.

Same with the Kennedy-Burchill in a way, the sneak attack was coming a mile off. That match was decent in itself.

The two tag matches on offer were decent enough, its amazing that Ted Dibiase Jr has only been on WWE TV for two weeks and he already has better mic skills than some of the locker room (including Jeff Hardy)

I actually liked the way the main event was booked, obviously let Cena get the kinda edge or bragging if you will over HHH this week, because i think it is important to have that balance.

I really think that McMahon's Million Dollar Mania actually hurt RAW more than helped it. The only enjoyment I got from it was all the screw ups and whatnot. I do enjoy seeing Vince McMahon instead of Mr. McMahon. I think it's refreshing to see the real Vince. The fact that he calls his glasses "cheaters" is amusing to me. This disaster will go down in RAW history as one of the best of the worst mess ups in RAW's live history. I think it's safe to say that this giveaway will need to be redone somehow to garner interest and to keep things smooth on the show. I think the way it was done took away from RAW. RAW just seemed very off and the fact that the main event match did not end the show was not a wise decision. I wouldn't be surprised to see an actual drop in ratings from this.

On a different note, Ted DiBiase, Jr. looks too much like Randy Orton. It creeps me out a little bit. I don't understand WWE just throwing Kennedy & Burchill out there to have a one-on-one match so early in the feud. I understand that it was not the culmination of the feud, but it just felt like the wrong time to have their first match against each other.

I would almost bet money that Cena will never job to JBL. I feel sorry for JBL. I guess when you have so many other endeavors, jobbing to Cena isn't a big deal.

I'm a little confused about Carlito's position in the WWE. He forms a tag team with Santino Marella, but he's basically a second hand jobber and is barely featured on the show. It seems like Carlito's position is even worse now than when he was wanting to leave the WWE.

I think it would be awesome to have Jeff Hardy added to the WWE Title Match at Night of Champions.

I, too, am relieved to see Jericho's heel turn. It was getting annoying how he was playing both sides of it. I think it would be interesting to see Shawn Michaels take the Intercontinental Title off of Chris Jericho.

What's the story on JBL's finisher now being called the "Lariat From Hell"? Why is WWE bothering to correct that now. They called it the "Clothesline From Hell" for countless years, but now it occurs to them that it's technically a lariat. I don't get it.

I was going to say the exact same thing. It really does not make any sense to me either.

You didn't expect Jericho to turn heel?

I figured one of them would go but the way that Jericho was building up HBK and then let him have it was great. That's what was unexpected.

I also thought the money giveaway was great. With all the screw ups it shows a human side to the show and on live TV anything can happen.

Last week, I said in the Raw thread that this Million Dollar Mania would be saved only if Vince didn't screen the callers pre-live and it became Wrestlecrap-level shambolic.

Well f*ck my purty little arse, THIS SEGMENT OWNED!

You can line up Zbyzsko turning on Sammartino, Hogan slamming Andre, Michaels throwing Jannetty through a window, Tyson punching Michaels, Austin spraying the ring with beer, and Michaels telling Flair that he's sorry, but I'll be damned if Vince McMahon getting RICK ROLLED~! on live international TV wasn't the greatest thing I've ever seen in wrestling. I laughed and laughed and laughed until I cried and cried and cried. God bless the guy who did it, and may his children be rich in health and good fortunes.

I've been feeling down on wrestling lately, but this legitimately just brought me all the way back up. Beautiful, epic failure = beautiful epic success!

As funny as that is (and it is funny), I hope it was worth $200,000 for the cheap laugh.

If you want to get picky (and it really is such a petty thing to pull someone on), it can actually be both. Sometimes JBL hits a lariat and sometimes he lands a clothesline to finish the match, so either term can be applicable.
Damn i fast forwarded through the money segments apart from the guy who said holy **** when he won the money which made Vince laugh so much! Missed the RICK ROLLED and have deleted RAW damn. Will watch the youtube clip if itt is not taken down tonight.
being fair to Vince he sold the Rick Rolled perfect, also seeing the Jericho heel turn was great also nice use of the TV as well. However if i was micheals i would have atlease bladed to get the realism. You know having your head rammed into something glass and all that

I absolutely hated that show.

With the exception of what Mitch pointed out (which was super, reached the peak early, died after that), the Million Dollar giveaway was different shades of awful. Just embarassing, annoying and stupid throughout and its insane to think Vince thinks that would have turned the WWE around.

The rest of the show was incredibly bland too.

I know Jeff Hardy was inevitably going to get punished, but having him get battered by HHH getting sod all offence isn't the way to do it. His upside is huge and they just made him look like a jobber, just to tell him off? Great business sense, ruin the prospects of a potential main eventer in order to just give him a public ticking off. Didn't realise they were giving more money away tonight?

Why oh why did they turn Jericho heel?

I mean sure turn him heel....eventually...but after 1 solitary week of teasing? In my column last week I said this could be a great angle if they have patience and slow build. What do they have? Absolutely none of it. I mean I could be wrong Jericho could become a new, maniacal brilliant heel. But I'd bet within 2 weeks he'll be back to same old Jericho heel and a great potential heel turn which could have lasted months and brought the IC title back up, is wasted. So disappointing.

The rest of the show was pretty much meaningless, Beth looked like a bit of a b!tch didn't she?

So yeah nothing show made worse by Jericho's unbelievably impatient heel turn, Jeff being squashed which shows Vince and the booking crew don't know what they are doing and the million dollar giveaway being ungodly bad.

I should have turned off after the rick roll, but is that bad when thats the best part of a wrestling show, which was clearly designed to get them going again?

Oh dear.
