Basic question if you're a hockey fan. I'm a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs. Go ahead and laugh. I get it a lot. Though I've been a fan of them since I was old enough to know what Hockey was. True fans never give up on their teams. It's called being a die-hard fan. Go Leafs Go!:) :lol

Who's your team?

New York Islanders are my team geographically, but they suck an enormous d*ck, and their stadium is too far to get to, so I find myself passively supporting the Rangers out of convenience these days, just because their stadium is one subway stop away. I have a soft spot for the Maple Leaves, but I have a soft sport for all Toronto teams, I like the Blue Jays and Toronto FC too.

I don't know much about hockey, but I know I like the Boston Bruins for one reason... they have Satan on their team.

Funny. Though it's not pronounced the same as Lucifer Satan. There's an accent on the second 'A'. Almost pronounces Say-tenn.

The only hockey team I know are the Vancouver Canucks cause a friend from work is obsessed with them.

So I'll say them then.

I don't know if that's good or bad.

New York Rangers by heritage. My Granddad sat me down as a kid when he was visiting and told it was strictly to be Rangers not Islanders, Mets not Yankees, and Jets not Giants.

So yeah, he sends me jerseys every couple of seasons for all the teams, so it's pretty sweet.

Rangers/Mets/Jets is an odd combo.

I think, traditionally, if you're from Manhattan, Bronx or Harlem, you're supposed to be Rangers/Yankees/Giants, and if you're from Queens, Brooklyn or Long Island, then you're Islanders/Mets/Jets, and, no matter where you're from, you support the Knicks and the Red Bulls.

I'm Islanders/Met/Giants personally. I need at least one team that ever wins something.

Peeps on my twitter feed seem to be equally split between Bruins and Devs; so I keep an eye out for both. Couldn't say I actively follow the sport though. I try, and try because it's something I should be into, I think... it just doesn't grab me.

Liked the skills test in the all star weekend, though. But Stan Lee's Guardian Project was woeful.

Phoenix Coyotes for me :).

Back in 2001 I did an exchange year in tempe, Arizona at ASU. I already liked Hockey without knowing anything further than Wayne Gretzky (sp), but I went to a few games at the America West Arena. Saw them play the Avalanche, Red Wings (when they had that Russian fella. Federov??), and the Stars. Bought a jersey and am a staunch fan now :P.

NB: That same logic can be applied to: Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks (hey, I went to the penultimate game in the World Series against the Yankees that year!! :P), The Phoenix Coyotes and of course, The Arizona Cardinals. :)

Cheers!

Can I cheat and say my local AHL team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins? Otherwise I don't have one, but I'm leaning towards being a 'Cane.

I've heard about that AHL team and as far as I know are one of the better teams in that league.

Canes are a good team to cheer for, one of the best teams in the east last 10 years and always a threat.
