Posted January 31, 200321 yr I was just wondering about whether everyone thinks that the Undertaker's undefeated streak will continue at Wrestlemania, and if so, who do you think his opponent will be. I have a feeling it will be the Big Show.
January 31, 200321 yr I think they will do Big Show vs. Taker at No Way Out, I'm not sure who his WM opponent will be.
January 31, 200321 yr I reckon they will fight at No Way Out and then have a rematch, maybe with a stip, at Wrestlemania Hell in a Cell would be good, not sure if Big Show could work it though
January 31, 200321 yr If it is Big Show then it is going to suck majorly. Although Taker has an impressive win rate at Wrestlemania, the matches have been generally less than impressive.
January 31, 200321 yr Taker's "streak" at Mania has contained a Jimmy Snuka squash, Jake Roberts squash match, one of the worst matches of all time with Giant Gonzallese, horrible match with King Kong Bundy, horrible match with Nash, horrible match with Sid and another worst match of all time contender with Bossman. The only decent matches he has were at 14 with Kane and last year with Flair, his match with HHH at 15 was watchable but went on far to long. It'll probaly be a bloody awfull gimmick match with Show.
February 3, 200321 yr i thought the flair v taker match was good enough, the taker vs bossman was a disgrace well actually i thought that wrestlemania was one of the eorst ppvs i`ve seen in the last few years, i only like the hardcore match cause hardcore won the title:D i didnt really enjoy the stone cold rock match either cant even remember the other matchs.....
February 3, 200321 yr One of the best pieces of supporting evidence for what an embarassment the taker/bossman hiac match was can be found on the 2000 Armageddon PPV. In the course of the show, as part of their hyping the 6-man HIAC main event, they show clips, analysis and discussion of all the PPV HIAC matches to have taken place to that point, with particular references to the Undertaker's participation in them. One match though was conspicuous by it's absence.. while the Undertaker waxed lyrical about how he had "made people famous" while guiding Michael Cole around the parts of the cell he'd chucked people off, he never uttered these words; "And then.. at Wrestlemania 15, I had the Big Bossman right here, in the middle of the cell.. and my Ministry sent down a cable, which I attached to a cheap two-bit harness on his back, which was meant to look like a noose around his neck. And we hauled his ass up to the ceiling.. and it looked crappy. Really crappy." In fact, WWE did all they could to pretend the match never even took place, perhaps it was all a dream.. in fact, that whole year was such a parade of dreadful angles and failed segments (the Higher Power disaster was the final straw) it pretty much killed off the Grim Reaper/Lord Of Darkness/Phenom gimmick for good, leading to the arrival of the American Badass in 2000.
February 4, 200321 yr I don't know if they killed off the phenom gimmick actually, remeber the excitement when the 'Taker promo vids made it seem he was returning with his old gimmick.
February 4, 200321 yr and then about a week later, they showed a big giant picture of him as the deadman again. hes soo boring as the deadman now, i enjoyed when he was the deadman for bot a year then he just sucked, although in saying that i liked him when he turned heel there a while ago
