Ripped the idea from another (nonwrestling) forum - Basically does what it says on the tin.

I'll kick off with two entries:

Transformers: I have to admit, part of the reason I waited so long to see this was the deep sense of foreboding that Michael Bay was about to destroy one of the staples of my childhood - and I generally prefer to wait for DVD releases anyway.

First off - WRONG! It took seeing the movie to make me see that Transformers just wouldn't work as it was on the "real" movie front. This version is awe inspiring and above all, looks "real". Okay so Optimus Prime is now a huge eighteen wheeler (rather than the flatnose cab he was in the 80's) and Megatron is now a weird alien jet - but it makes sense. It works, and above all else it's a fantastic movie. If I can borrow a wrestling expression I "marked out" several times when there were subtle links to the old series that took me back twenty years. Optimus Prime being voiced by the legendary Peter Cullen as ever helped there (as did dialogue copied directly from the 80's) And my favourite Starscream looking more badass than ever before (An F22 Raptor no less) Michael Bay directed this perfectly IMO. And the CG transformations and robots have to be seen to be believed. :good222:

Second film is "Superman Returns" I caught this on Sky movies last night. Excellent film, well done and Brandon Routh played the man of steel perfectly (and has an uncanny resemblance to the great late Christopher Reeve) It was a very good "sequel" to the old movies - explaining why Superman had disappeared for so long, and having a plausible explanation for Lex Luthor (nearly typed Luger there) being at large again (Superman no showed the trial) The effects were epic, and the guy portraying Luthor did a good job (he's not Gene Hackman - but he's good)

And there's a classy bit in the credits with a dedication to Christopher and Dana Reeve "with love and respect" - very nice touch.

So yeah, two great films.

Oh yeah i love the F22 Raptor for Star Scream i dont know you just get a feeling that they would have been the best choice for him.

Also when the writers strike finishes there is going to be a sequal in 2009 (hopefully)

I love the new transformers film, it's brilliant! I felt like i was a kid again watching it.

The last film I watched was Final Destination, a really good twist on the ole horror film I think.

Oh the last two films i watched was "The Thing" and Silent Hill for a uni project
The last movie I watched was Mannequin (which I haven't seen since my early teens), and it's still a classic.

Noooothing's gonna stop us noooow! Great soundtrack to a classic movie, I want to watch it now...

Today I watched the majority of the most recent Mr. Bean movie, which as expected was a hit with the younger kids. Not quite as good as the earlier one though.

The Ringer (on Sky Movies Comedy) this afternoon was the last film I watched, seen it a few times and while its not the funniest film ever I enjoy it all the same
American History X on DVD a great film with flawless acting from Edward Norton and the support cast particuarly Avery Banks, the boy Furlong was a bit suspect but still a great film.

Last film i saw was The Bourne Ultimatium.

Good film, but did'nt like the ending.

Rounders - Good enough film, if you like poker then its probably the film for you! Ed Norton, Matt Damon, John Malkovich, pretty sound line up, good story, and some great scenes to boot.
Stardust, which was pants, and American Gangster, which was decent enough. I downloaded a bunch of movies and wrestling releases that I need to find the time to get to.
40 Year Old Virgin. Kimberly's boob pooping out was enough for me to say I really enjoyed the film.
The Prestige, I really enjoyed this movie, the ending is quite good. A great movie and I suggest people watch this.
How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days, My girlfriend came over to mine and brought this with her, In two words Utter Piss.

Ohhh the old "sitting through a chick flick curse". Liz and I have accepted that we like different types of films, although we both enjoyed "The Guru" (and "Orgazmo" - which is funnier than South Park and Team America combined) :good222:

Fantastic 4. Came from netflix. Didn't really suck.
