Guest The Beltster
They released NHB on DVD several months ago, I was sure it came out on BR then too...
DC 536
A quick look shows that it was released on DVD on July 3rd, so this might be a special edition or just the UK release date.
The Icon 152
I know this film gets a lot of slagging but i like it. Oh it is no award winner or anything, what it is though is just the right amount of cheesy to be fun.
dsrchris 190
Man, as a kid I used to rent this film at least once a month from the local corner shop. I may have to get this just for nostalgic purposes!

Maxximus 353
I watched this a good three or four times in the theater. It's my second favorite pro wrestling movie after Body Slam.
Guest The Beltster
I'm not really sure why it gets so much shit to be honest, I mean its no different than most other cheesy 80's kids films that are all looked back on as classics.

King 277
Is NHB the most successful wrestling movie ever made? or am I wrong?
Omega 354
I would assume The Wrestler possibly did better?
King 277
Yeah it probably did, although that was kind of and indie movie no pun intended, Just had a look there, The Wrestler FoxS $26,238,243 No Holds Barred NL $16,093,
Guest The Beltster
NHB doubled its budget at the box office but I think people expected a huge blockbuster which was never realistic. Its a decent 80's movie for what it is, just a bit of mindless fun. People make out it was a huge mass flop but making $16,000,000 on an $8,000,000 budget isnt the worst thing in the world. The Icon 152
It made 16 million at the box office. See no evil made 15. The marine made 49. Well I wont list them all but its not the biggest earner. Marine made much more. This is for cinema though. Counting DVD and vhs I do not know
