January 8, 201410 yr I just reeeeeeeally wanted to sneak the rug out from under FreeSpirit for the lulz. So here be spoilers. * SmackDown opens with The Usos vs. Erick Rowan and Luke Harper. Both teams fight to a double countout. The lights go out and Bray Wyatt hits the ring with Daniel Bryan to beat up The Usos. There was a small "yes!" chant. Wyatt hit Sister Abigail on Jey Uso to end it. * Backstage segment with Randy Orton and Vickie Guerrero. Orton is upset and says he will address Triple H and Stephanie McMahon on RAW. * The Shield vs. CM Punk and The New Age Outlaws is announced for tonight's main event. Miz TV with Big Show is also announced. * Big Show appears on Miz TV. He talks about RAW and what happened with Brock Lesnar. Paul Heyman comes out and cuts a promo on Lesnar, praising him and calling him The Ultimate Fighter of WWE. Show challenges Lesnar for the Royal Rumble and Heyman accepts on behalf of Lesnar. * Sin Cara, Rey Mysterio and Los Matadores defeated Jack Swagger, Antonio Cesaro, Ryback and Curtis Axel when Rey hit 619 and the splash on Swagger. * Randy Orton vs. Big E Langston is up next. Orton came out to a big pop. Orton ends up getting the win with a RKO in what was called a great back and forth match. * Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt cut a backstage promo on The Usos for Monday's RAW. Bryan says everything we believe in is a lie and plays the heel. This was described as a very good promo. * Xavier Woods defeated Fandango with a quick roll up. Cameron and Naomi beat down Summer Rae after the match. * The Shield come out for the main event. Roman Reigns talks about beating CM Punk and says he's the new best in the world. Dean Ambrose says he's been having nightmares thanks to Jake Roberts. Seth Rollins says they're about the future and will be taking out The New Age Outlaws. CM Punk, Billy Gunn and Road Dogg are out next. The Shield gets the win after Reigns spears Gunn. Sauce: LordsOfPain
January 10, 201410 yr THE USO CUTTING A PROMO! See Double Double E, it ain't that hard. Just hold a mic in front of people, they'll talk. Then Cole doesn't have to cut everyone's promos for them. Usos/Wyatts was fun stuff. Enjoyed the match, the countout brawl and BAM Bryan appears out of the darkness. Their promo though...I dunno. Either Bryan is purposely playing it as a wink-wink thing or he's really not a good enough actor to do this kind of stuff. I assume the former, because I was rolling at his lines, and that's not a good colour on the Wyatts.
January 11, 201410 yr WTF Michael cole is so bad and forced it makes you embarrassed to be a wrestling fan
January 12, 201410 yr Has there ever been a more talent enhancing champion than Randy Orton??? Literally hundreds and hundreds. I was kind of disappointed in the Big E match. He looked good but the match itself never seemed to get out of first gear.
January 12, 201410 yr Overstatement I know but Randy gives so much to younger talent to make them look his equal. The Big Show/Lesnar match wasn't a surprise yet does anyone really wanna see it? Lesnar surpassed Big Show years ago and he doesn't need the weight of Show around his neck. Hopefully after selling for a few mins Lesnar can overpower Big Show and claim the victory. All the segments/match involving the Wyatt's were brilliant, I really hope Bryan joining the Wyatt's is a long term thing as the scope of what they could do is massive. All the Uso's promo was really good. Main event involving the Shield was as always AMAZING. The Outlaws and Punk also looked good. Good SD with Reigns becoming a Rumble winner contender
January 12, 201410 yr A lot of guys give a lot to their opponents and make them look good. Look, I like Orton when he's on his game and he certainly had some great 'star making' matches in recent years as a babyface vs Cody, Ted, Dolph, etc. But I mean, when you say things like "ever", you're inviting comparisons to literally everyone ever, and the list of guys in history who could work 'star making champion' better than Orton is capable of right now could get pretty long. Show/Lesnar was great a decade ago. I completely believe they can get it done again, even if I would have preferred Brock/Henry. They need to do something to occupy Brock, and this is the most impressive win they can get him.
January 12, 201410 yr Brock could easily be occupied in a TV mini feud but does it have to be with Show???
January 12, 201410 yr Like I said, Show is the biggest and most impressive guy around who they can feed to Brock.
January 12, 201410 yr Not for over ten years and in pro-wrestling that's a lifetime ago. There will be people in the audience either unaware it has happened before or are aware, but have never seen it.
January 12, 201410 yr Lesnar has only pinned Big Show once before, which just happened to be at the 2003 Royal Rumble, and that was when Lesnar was a face and Show was a heel with Lesnar getting revenge for losing the WWE Title to Big Show two months beforehand. I had to look all that up to remember it, so to your average WWE Universe member this is a completely fresh program which is going to do exactly what the WWE want - build Brock up for his big match at WrestleMania. OK, What DC said :(.
