I remember reading a while back that Richard Kiel (Jaws from the James Bond films) was originally chosen to play The Hulk in the tv series.As the pilot began filming, the producers felt that he wasn’t bulky enough.His scenes were re-shot with Lou Ferrigno, however 1 scene in the pilot with Kiel as the Hulk remains.

When they were creating the TV show House, the remit for the lead character was that he must be American, and definitely not British, as Bryan Singer (who was the showrunner) felt previous British actors' attempts at US accents had been terrible.

 

When Hugh Laurie auditioned speaking with the accent he would eventually use in the show, Singer actually singled him out to the other producers and said he was the compelling American actor he had been looking for.

 

To say he was shocked to find out the truth is an understatement.

Huh? It's a fact that your hands close when you sleep. They do, they just do, it's fact. Unless, of course, the position of the hand during sleep prevents them from closing. That didn't mean the hand didn't want to close though.

I honestly expected my strange fact (which basically amounts to "your hands naturally close when at rest", which is unquestionably factually accurate, given a slight twist to fit the "strange" requisite of this thread) to be challenged by some finnicky, smart-alec toad just for the sake of disagreeing.

 

Was half-expecting it to be you, JH, but you're smart enough to challenge non-facts with actual facts, as opposed to challenging actual facts with derisory, withering attempts to make yourself seem clever by undermining in a nitpicky way another person, and then being wrong about it and looking like a bell end.
