Seriously, I hate the image of the big tough guy slapping around the little pencil-necked geek, but this is crazy when you consider that Del Rio is due a certain amount of respect on account of the fact that he put his neck on the line whenever he got into the ring.

 

I don't want a return to the nasty old days of wrestlers hurting those who insulted them because of a chip on the shoulder from making a living from a "fake" sport, but this shows that there's a culture - at least among some employees in the WWE - of behaving according to a wrestler's status in the estimation of those in positions of power - i.e. "They're tired of this guy and he's a couple of months away from the end of his contract, therefore I can get away with ridiculing him in front of other employees."

I'd have done the same thing as ADR, then punched the CEO's teeth down his throat when he fired me. A joke is one thing, but genuinely disrespect me, and I'll treat you like a cockroach in return, and roaches get squashed.

Edit: re read the thing and I thought it was someone being asked to clean del rio's stuff. Seems not so, don't agree on slapping the guy but the media guy needs firing if true.
