Guest pheadley
Who is going to be the next top names in WWE. Is it Reigns, Ambrose, Rollins or could they be from NXT like Zayn, Owens or Balor. Could there be anyone from the main roster or a different company just waiting on their chance.
Omega 354
You'd have to say Reigns and Rollins are top guys right now. I have a feeling Finn Balor will be the next big thing to come from NXT, I can't see them pushing Neville all the way, they'll lose interest or run out of ideas on how to book him. I don't know if Owens will make the transition from NXT to RAW well, something tells me he looks like a big fish in a small pond right now and his gimmick will be lost on the main roster. I know hes popular in nxt but I don't see him headlining at big pay per views.
DC 536
I realise there's nowhere near as much patience today as there was then, but "I don't see him headlining PPVs" could easily have been aimed at the likes of Bret Hart and "the blonde one from The Rockers". A consistent push (and the key word there is consistent) and you can build them into main-eventers, but they need to be given a chance, which some have not been given. Evil Gringo 279
Tops you get a couple of months on top after being slung in there from the mid-card and they see if you can swim whilst giving you none of the tools to do so... Then you get eaten alive by John Cena.
Guest pheadley
I will be gutted for rusev if he does not get the win at payback. if he wins that would help him a lot. hopefully he knocks cena out to the point that he cant say I quit. then he can go on and still be dominate. the world champion who is they enemy of the u.s has been a big draw before. Guest pheadley
he was in Belfast last November and got a good pop as well, he was the babyface and Neville was the heel surprisingly.
Omega 354
That.. doesn't really mean anything. You asked about the fact Zayn got a spot on RAW in Montreal. I simply pointed out he was trolled out for the hometown pop, it doesn't mean he;s getting a push and especially not now he's injured. You have to look at anyone who regularly appears on RAW and gets wins as being "top level" in terms of the WWE. That covers the very top talent and all the upper mid card guys. so to me the next top talent doesn't necessarily to me mean the next guy who's going to be world champion after Rollins and Reigns et al. It means the guy who will come in and be a regular face on the A show. There's no one coming to WWE programming that isn't in NXT, at least I can't see there being anyone simply being signed and dropped into the mix. So who in NXT could be dropped into programming and not flounder like Adam Rose did. The only person I'd have confidence has a gimmick that transfers with him and that the fans would pop for regardless of whether they watch NXT or not would be Finn. The body paint alone makes him stand out, I think he's got the right style and look for WWE TV, I don't know what he's like on the mic but that never really stopped Reigns getting to the top so...
