Seth Rollins Injured, Stripped of WWE Championship

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins has torn his right ACL, MCL and medial meniscus, and will not be able to defend the title against Roman Reigns at Survivor Series. A tournament to determine a new champion will instead take place at the event.

 

As first reported on Twitter by ESPN, Rollins suffered the injury last night at a WWE Live Event in Dublin, Ireland, and is expected to miss six to nine months of action.

They're saying he's out for 6-9 months. With Orton and cena out its a big test now for wwe to book it right.

If I recall right it was Survivor Series '98 and it occurred after Stone Cold laid out both Kane and Undertaker during their match to decide the new champion a month before which lead to Stone Cold getting fired (for a while) and in the end Rock joining the McMahon's, forming the Corporation and screwing Mankind in the final in a remake of the Screw Job of the previous year....

 

Back then you had Kane, Taker, Mankind, Shamrock, Rock and others all at their peak. Now we'll have who with Cena and Orton out and Lesnar on a break?

I'd love to see Ziggler, Cesaro or Owens get a shot but Inno said on Twitter what the probable best booking would be. Reigns joins the authority turning on Ambrose and stops being the goofy babyface and turns full on heel since the crowd hate him anyway.

This is what happens when you have no credible main event wrestlers because you've squandered the past decade with shitty booking and haven't built anybody. I mean really, who is a big star in WWE in 2015? You have nobody to take the spot. I expect they'll get Cena to come in and take his little holiday later than planned.

See this is where WWE should be kicking themselves- they had the chance to turn Owens into a big time star when he feuded with Cena but they decided to let Cena keep the title, that's backfired big time. Persnally I'd like to see Taker get the itle, 25 years of Taker and what a better way to salute him by giving him the title :D

I really don't want to see him as champion, so a failed cash-in is what I'm hoping for, but (from reports) Vince and Triple H see a lot in Sheamus.

Alright so I get the whole tournament thing, how-ever(I did miss the first hour of Raw) I do not understand why Reigns is in the tournament. Why shouldn't he just be waiting for the winner of the tourney?? Seth gets hurt and Roman loses his #1 contender status??? So the man is supposed to get a shot at the title(and I laugh saying this) but if he loses in the tournament then he does not get his title shot, that he just won a couple weeks back? Do you guys think the WWE will let someone other than the predictable ones win???
