First of all I tried the climbing wall at Glasshoughton - that was pretty nerve wracking. And then I had a go at climbing Malham Cove - that was even more nerve wracking. Over the summer it was too hot to do anything, and I have only just got back into it - with more practice on the climbing wall again. For the future I would to go climbing in Wales - Snowdonia to be exact. I have heard that there are some really good climbs there. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Both activities require good fitness levels and I haven't been at my best in terms of exercising. @AmyRichmond have you ever thought of climbing Mount Everest? I would love to have a go at climbing Malham Cove - I have hiked up the valley, but never thought of climbing the Cove until you mentioned it. It is so beautiful around Malham. I am not very experienced at climbing, so I think it would take a lot more practice before I was ready to tackle something like the Cove. The beauty about going for a climbing expedition with a group is the fun that comes with trying to compete. However, free climbing is the most challenging and I wonder if anyone has tried this before? I used to think that we always have to pay and go in groups whenever we want to use any official public spots like that. I didn't know there is a thing such as free climbing.
