Posted October 7, 20195 yr What are you watching? I'm waiting for the current season of The Great British Bake Off / Baking Show to wrap up so I can binge watch it over a weekend.
October 7, 20195 yr Same here, @whaleshark. We don't have much longer to wait thankfully. I have a close mate who watches regularly and she's been disappointed in this season's contestants and in the judges' decisions. But, she's always been a bit picky.
October 8, 20195 yr Author Yeah. One comment I've heard is that the challenge recipes seem to get more and more obscure. I like finding out about forgotten desserts, though.
October 8, 20195 yr I have a close mate who watches regularly and she's been disappointed in this season's contestants and in the judges' decisions. But, she's always been a bit picky. What is making her disappointed? I have found pretty much all of the contestants, in all the seasons, impressive. It takes a desire for precision to be a competent baker, a quality I sorely lack!
October 8, 20195 yr I like watching Dragon's Den from time to time. It's amazing what people come up with to sell and I find the pitches interesting. I still sorely miss Celebrity Big Brother. It was so tacky, but in a good way.
October 14, 20195 yr What is making her disappointed? I have found pretty much all of the contestants, in all the seasons, impressive. It takes a desire for precision to be a competent baker, a quality I sorely lack! I've always been impressed too, and I'm usually as snarky as can be when it comes to reality programmes. But then again, I'm not much in the kitchen, so maybe that has something to do with it. Anyway, she's complained about the dishes not being inventive enough and the judges picking winners for the drama that they bring to the table. In other words, she thinks this season hasn't focused enough on talent.
October 15, 20195 yr Author I used to regularly watch The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders: Making the Team. I got really into some of the personal stories and the cutthroat auditioning.
October 16, 20195 yr Survivor and The Amazing Race were my best reality shows ever. Lately, I haven't been so consistent but Top Chef, America's Got Talent, and The Worst Cooks in America are my other favourites. I just added The Great British Bake Off to my 'to-watch' list. Is it too late to play catch up?
October 17, 20195 yr It has been a while since I watched any reality TV show, and should I ever want to start, I will have great suggestions from this thread. I loved The Amazing Race.
