There are plenty from this year I still want to see, but so far I nominate Parasite and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Maybe Joker, Toy Story 4, Rocketman, and Born to Run, too.

I nominate Joker for the storyline, Rocketman for the entertainment value and both for the social relevance. Different time frames, but they both depicted the social fabric in two different ways very well.

*Ahem*

End Game?

I agree with Joker too. And those are literally the only 2 movies I've seen all year. Although, I do want to see Toy Story 4 and Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. I'm just really lazy.

I'm more of a comedy and action-adventure bloke. My favourite movies of the year are both thrillers, but they're filled with black humour too. One recently came out which is Knives Out. The other is Ready or Not. I've never understood the thrill of Toy Story which has many adult fans. I've tried to watch it, but it's no Shrek and I can't hang in there until they get to the good parts.
Probably Parasite and Joker. Fighting with My Family was a really pleasant surprise, and I would put it among the best of 2019. Hoping to see Knives Out soon and decide how it stacks up.
There are scenes from a lot of 2019 movies that I thought were spectacular, but when it comes to checking off just a couple more boxes than others, so far that's Parasite. However, I'm waiting for 1917 this weekend. That could take the top spot.
1917 was powerful, but so was Parasite in a different way. I would say those two are now top of the 2019 list for me. Still want to see Little Women, though, and keep comparing.
My movie count for last year was less than 3 (excluding Joker), but based on the trailer, I believe that it ranks among the best. Is any of you a fan of animations?

Animations are my favourite, and IMO, The Lion King, The Addams Family and Abominable ranked highly. There are some more to look forward to this year including Onward, Sonic the Hedgehog, SCOOB and The Willoughbys.

Joker, hands down won for me. 1917 was great, but I didn't see it until 2020. I'll watch it again for certain. My wife loved Little Women, I skipped that.

You know I thought that by staying at home, I was going to a lot of things I wouldn't normally do, like watching countless movies. It turns out I am doing so well in this department. What else have you watched this year?
