100th post.

 

It hardly seems 4 years today since Owen Hart tragically died at the over the edge pay-per-view held in the Kemper arena Kansas

 

I had been looking forward to the event for some while and had booked the next day off work: unable to beleive that Owen(blue Blazer) was gonna be wrestling for the ic title,I felt sure that the blazer was to become the champ,the day seemed to speed past like the blazers(no pun intended) then the moment came ,the early hours of monday morning I could barely contain my excitement,as the matches past by I barely moved an inch off the sofa, then the next thingI know Jr tells us the news that owen had fallen from the ceiling Dammn this has to be a work i thought and bravely prayed it was just that. but my worst fears were realised when Jr and king annouced that owen had died.:cry evrthing after that was a blur..

Couldn't agree more Owen is still missed and probably never will I will never forget that moment when JR annouced to the world that Owen had died it was as though time stood still I was in shock 4 years later it still saddens me long live Owen Hart

4 years already. I feel real sorry for his kids today. RIP Owen

 

Just found my poem I wrote ages ago, thought I might as well post it again, it's not very good but hey, I'll post it anyway

 

The stage was set

you were ready to go

but you wasnt sure

of this you did know

 

The zipline was lowered.

It was going real fast

but we didn't know

this would be when we saw you last

 

The emts ran in

but nothing could be done

you had ascended to heaven

we knew you was gone

 

You filled us with laughter

had plenty of fun

but one thing we never saw

was you ever glum

 

You died whilst performing

whilst entertaining the fans

and you were the best wrestler

in all the land

Owen, you have not been forgotten.

 

He was one of, if not the best, heels in wrestling. Having just watched Royal Rumble 1994, Owen truly made me laugh during his promo on why he kicked Bret: "Tag me Bret! But no, your too selfish and I don't have a selfish bone in my body!"

 

The Slammy gimmick was pure class: "I'm winner; Woooooooooooo!"

 

Many classic Owen moments.

 

RIP, you will never be forgotten.

couldnt agree more one of the best, remember the raw the day after, still got that tape, probably watch it later, you saw the guys in different lights. The Hart family and associates, such a sad tale.

I think all of you would be moved if you have seen the documentry done on him with the Hart's involved (A&E I think?)

 

Owen was one week away from moving into his house that he dreamt he would live in with his wife and kids, a house he had wrestled night after night for.

 

For those of you with Mick Foley's HAve A Nice Day! auto, remember that story of Owen pissing off the sound guy, and setting up a inpromtu meeting with the promoter? Classic Owen!

Owen Hart was a fantastic wrestler a true professional as either a face or a heel. I remember when he was wrestling on Stampede Wrestling in Calgary and his debut as the high flying Blue Blazer in WWF.

I may be being big headed but this has gotta be a contender for thread of the year/half year?????????

It has already been 4 years and yet he is still missed by all the Fans around the world. May 23rd is truly a day that will live in infamy in the harts of all the wrestlers and the fans - RIP Owen Hart:cry

The memory of Owen Hart will live on with us all for the rest f our lives, he was one of the pioneering forces inthe who High Risk Gnere of wrestling, as well as being on of the most promising young talents in the business at the time.

i use to think Owen was nothing special (i won't go into detail why), but looking back, i realise he was a..well quite unique. he had a gift of the gab and was a decent worker as well as a funny prankster. Is owen remembred more as a Great worker overall becuase he was Bret Hart's brother...maybe. but that's to be argued at another time..lets just enjoy the special times owen gave us

Such a shame that he was never this "loved" so to speak while still alive. It's a shame that it has to take something like a death to make people stop and think about guys like Owen and Pillman and Hennig.

 

Still, I will admit I did like him. Never a fan of his promos (his speaking during the match promo video at Summerslam 97 was nauseating to say the least), but he always put on a good show, and was classical when he started chanting "I'm not a nugget, whoo". His peak as far as a character was definately 98, especially the stuff with him and Jason Sensation (that fantastic impressionist). I pissed myself at that. And he really made you hate him too. Suffice to say he did his job and did it fantastically.
