June 2, 200321 yr I will also fill in the rest for you. The answer to the question is YES. Why do I miss it? The simple reason is that it both were alternatives to WWF ( i dont care what you call it is always gonna be WWF to most of us) Now that is gone its WWF/E or nothing, and thats a very sad stat of affairs. WCW was always known as the second promotion, but in the eyes of many fans including me they were and always will be number one...I SAID NUMBER 1 (I'm sure PK will agree with me) I am not saying that i dont like WWE, i will watch it if its on, but i will not go out of my way to see it..but there was a time when i would have and im sure most of yuo would have as well. I'll tell you..the last time i watched a WWF program apart from the PPVs was an edition of Raw when Jerry Lawler and Jim Ross were tag partners...i cannot even remeber when that was, but that was the last edition of Raw or Smackdown i watched. What did WCW offer different to that offer in WWF? They offered the fans what they wanted to see thats what..you could tune into nitro and from the offset you could have one of those unforgetable Lucha Libre style matches that only WCW offered..instead of tuning into the Triple H show, and watchin him walk and talk for half an hour with the Belt more often than not over is shoulder. I wasnt as big a fan of ECW as i was WCW, buts thats for the simple reason that i never seen much of it, but what i did see i like very much indeed... well thats enough from me rabbiting on, but its good to let some of that out.
June 2, 200321 yr Apart from an alternative an competition, I feel the only thing that WCW offered that the WWF didn't was the Cruiser action.
June 2, 200321 yr And it was that cruiser action Cactus that won WCW so many of its fans...fans love to see all those high spots and all those death defying moves...and you could see it nowhere better than WCW. The WWE did try the who Light heavyweight thing with Taka Michinoku and essa Rios back in about 98/99, but its just disppeared off our screens..and i have always said that one of the biggest mistakes the WWE ever made was getting rid of ESSA RIOS..the man was phenomonal. June 2, 200321 yr Of course i miss WCW i loved the thing for gods sake. I cryed on the last Nitro man. WCW ****ING RULED. Vince McMahon is a ****ing prick and i hate his guts and i hope he ****ing dies in hell, he destyoed something that means something to me. And quite frankly the guy is paying for it. He dont have any competition, no more dream matches... GOLBERD (WCW) Vs Austin (WWF) Its all ****ing gone, VINCE RUINED WRESTLING FOR LIFE. Now he is paying for it man, paying for it bad. I hope he ****ing dies. I know i sound harsh but i really do. :( ****ing prick. SORRY ABOUT MY LAUNGUAGE but this is a really touchy subject. Man WCW will always live on what wont live in is wCw, I ****ING HATE WHEN FANS TYPE THAT. Vince Mcmahon made it like that, fans say o wCw ruled. ITS WCW FOR FODS SAKE NO wCw. It makes me sick. CJR
June 2, 200321 yr Vince Mcmahon made it like that, fans say o wCw ruled. ITS WCW FOR FODS SAKE NO wCw. It makes me sick. CJR [/b] have you been sniffing the glue again? It wasnt always wCw...its been known and written as WCW for a long time.
June 2, 200321 yr No no no dude, ive been sniffing to much cock. Vince changed it to wCw you idiot, the logo etc so people write it like that. I said WCW will live on, WCW is Ted Turners WCW. wCw is ****ing Vince Mcmahons wCw where he changed the god damn logo etc and people began to use that instead of WCW. So dont try and embarras me punk by TRYING to prove me wrong. CJR
June 2, 200321 yr I'm sorry, but I think its disgusting you wish a death on someone, especially seen as all he has done is bought a company for Christs sake. Get things into perspective.
June 2, 200321 yr Well sorry to disguste you Cactus, but thats my opinion. Thats me being me and im not going to change for you of all people becuase i dont know you. Yes i may have been a little harsh but i really miss WCW and i just hate Vince for doing so. Ill say it again, im sorry, Sorry if i have gotten onto peoples bad sides. CJR

WCW will always be number one for me - I have a personal feeling of WCW that will never go away - it is in me forever. I don't know why I felt that - I just fell in love with WCW about 1998 and to this day - even after 2 years, I still love WCW and miss them like madly. As for ECW - I like them too - I wish Vince would bring back ECW as they still has some appeal for a separate promotion. As for WCW - sadly the former owners destroyed WCW and WWF killed off WCW. A WCW comeback is sadly not possible :cry

June 2, 200321 yr how am i? I basically proved a point that you said i was wrong in saying so. So embarrasing myself? Nah man i cant get embarrased from a bunch of people on a PC that i dont even know. So try harder yeah 'friend' lol. Ive had enough of this post for one night, goodbye.
June 2, 200321 yr Hasta manana... you are doing it all by youreslf, by taking it too far, there is a line and you crossed it with your comments towards vince mcmahon above...although you may not like him thats just something you do not say..
June 3, 200321 yr Hello... Right, i had alot to drink last night, and ill be the first to say sorry. But didnt i say last night even when i was druknk 'im sorry i offended anyone'? And i truley am, you vant execept that, give it a break now hey, its gone. I dont wanna argue with you guys over something so stupied when i wasnt being the real me anyways. CJR
June 3, 200321 yr I do miss ECW but only the period where the likes of Cactus Jack, Terry Funk and Raven were there and the only thing i ever watched WCW for was Ric Flair and Bret Hart so i dont miss that at all.
June 3, 200321 yr I never got to see these company's weekly offerings but I do remember reading the ProWrestling.com's news every day and hearing about all these guys and their backstage machinations. In the end, the more variety there is, the better off the average fan will be, so for that reason: COMBAT SPORTS TV = WOOHOO! :D
June 3, 200321 yr I do miss them because it gave WWE some competition when WCW were on top WWE tryed really hard to make their product the best and WCW had the whole nWo angle great stuff. ECW was great a fantastic alterntive to the WWE or WCW the in ring action was awesome and the storyline were good and original in fact WWE stole most of ECW's original ideas and made into their WWF Attitude
June 3, 200321 yr No, I don't miss ECW and WCW. Time is a great healer, they say. But I think over time, people's perceptions have been affected. Don't you remember ECW/WCW in their last days? WCW was utterly awful, with the same faces at the top of the card for the past 5 years, and getting some of the worst PPV buyrates I can remember seeing. As for ECW, they were a shambles when they folded. Things like rushing Corino and Lynn's title reigns, the ever decreasing TV audience and an awful midcard spat in the face of mid-late ninties ECW's traditions. Just like the guys who are over the hill that Vince keeps signing, ECW and WCW were enjoyable at their peak, but in their latter days they were embaressing to watch. If you want to enjoy ECW or WCW, buy a tape.
