Just read the Raw results on PW.com and this really caught me out:

 

-Lance Storm vs. Garrison Cade

Storm comes out to face someone named Garrison Cade, but before the match can start, Raw Co-GM Stone Cold Steve Austin comes out, chanting "Borrrrrrrrring!" He hasn't slept in a few days, so he figured that since Storm is so boring, he could get some sleep. He was outside watching the grass grow and the paint dry, but it couldn't put him to sleep, so he thought of the only thing more boring: a Lance Storm match.

 

The bell rings, with Austin continuing the chant. Cade catches Storm with a dropkick for a two count. Armbar by Cade, then a wristlock, causing Austin to lay down on his pillow. Storm takes Cade into the corner and chops away, hitting a jumping calf kick 1-2-kickout.

 

Storm applies an armbar, but Cade fights out and boots Storm down for another two count. Jawbreaker by Storm, then a neck vise. Austin continues to berate Storm for being the most boring son of a bitch Austin has ever seen. Storm lets the hold go and yells at Austin, allowing Cade to schoolboy him 1-2-3!

 

WTF are they doing to Storm?! He's the kind of guy you could easily build a mid-card around, he's that good a wrestler but they're berating him!

 

Has something happened backstage that the Torch and Observer have missed or what? Or was Lance "Willie the Worker" after all and he's getting his comuppance!

Maybe it's going to be his new gimmick to become a little more exciting maybe show a little more charisma, because lets face it lance storm is a fantastic wrestler probably the best to come over with the invasion angle, but the guy well for charisma he gives chis benoit a run for his money.

 

Maybe this could be the start of something HUGE.

This is starting to be complete bullshit the way they are treating Storm now he is easily one of most talented wrestlers on Raw and this is the way he is treated what a load of shite

if they want to improve his charisma- they most likely would take him out and give him some lessons

Either he's getting a new lease of life or he's getting released. I will believe the former when I see it.

WWE at it's finest again.

 

Trouble is they think they're doing something with him, which they may be, but they're educating their fans that wrestling in a wrestling match is boring.

Storm is finished.

 

No-one really likes him. Everyone I suppose respects his in ring ability, but we don't like him.

 

He could never make it as a fan favourite.

 

The fans have hated him since the Alliance Invasion.

I don't know whether thats a joke or not...

 

But if it isn't, its a ridiculous statement. Even his short spell as IC champ showed how class a heel storm could be if given a chance. Nobody has ever even suggested he could make it as a fan favourite, but some guys are just born to be heels, just like I'm sure some faces are born to do good all their life.

 

Storm is respected by most WWE fans for his wrestling ability and to suggest that they would boo him because they don't like him much like they don't like Goldberg or X-Pac when he was around is just... well, wrong.

 

Back to the point... could Storm perhaps start playing a whole boring wrestler angle rather than just be being squashed? While its probably true that the WWE are indeed making wrestling in a wrestling match be seen as boring, didn't Mick Foley go through a period of playing this type of heel at one point in his career? I just reckon that Storm could be doing this, and I reckon he's the type of guy that can pull it off brilliantly!

if they make the "boring" angle what storm did in his days in WCW, they will have a sucessful gimmick under there noses

The way the WWE use and treat lance Storm time and time again is completely wrong...

 

here we have a man who is probably the most talented technical wrestler in the WWE today, and they are doing this to him...

 

wake up and smell the coffee WWE, he shoud not be doing that...he is a proven heel chaaracter, and a damn fine one at that as well..and he has the potential to be main eventing, but he is not being given the chance...why is that?

I think they're gonna use the boring angle. Fans don't react well to Storms matches so they need to get them involed in his matches and by chanting boring it will get fans to react to him, he will probaly end up winning the IC title in the next couple of months. When that happens the fans will start to notice him who his skills and not just for his boringness. I think storm is a great wrestler and I would like to see more of him on TV, he would make a great IC champ if given the chance to hold the gold for a while.

Like Stevie mentioned above, maybe they're just going to get the fans more into his matches.

 

Whatever the reason im sure there's a logical plan behind it, I dont think that the WWE would publicially piss all over their talent...............would they!?!?

I think Storm proved he is a fantastic heat getter with his stint in the un - americans a gimmick that was ended way too soon. I thought he was gonna have a run with Goldberg after the car crash thing but the WWE have seemed to neglect that.

 

Just cos the guy dosen't have a fancy catchphrase or a big stupid move (peoples elbow, stink face, worm) does that mean he's boring?

This "boring" gimmick has never worked, history proves that.

don't think anybody is questioning Lance storm's ablity to make the gimmick successful, it's up to WWE to handle this well and make sure they give Lance storm the right opponents and sceanrios to get the gimmick over.

but then, we've seen how WWE have screwed up gimmicks and angles with great potential

You think wrong, just wait and see how long thet give it before they drop it. Like I said, history proves this angle doesn't work, no matter how sure anyone is of Storm's ability.

It's all in the writing... Storm has been left to be a jobber ...He got screwed onWCW gets screwed on WWE...

I don't get why people call Lance Storm boring. His work in ECW is some of the most exciting wrestling I have ever seen e.g. Anarchy Rulz 99. He can work a mic e.g. Impact Players and Team Canada. I thought the Team Canada gimic was great until is got stupid with Dugan. Now the IC title is back he should get a run with it. I think Storm is about as close to the ideal IC title holder as you can get. Hopefuly RVD and Kane will split in the next month so RVD and Storm can have a fued for the IC title.
