There are talks of an all-wrestling channel for broadcast in the United Kingdom. It would not be a 24 hour channel, rather a 10-12 hour channel.

 

It would be called the Combat Channel, and would be all working wrestling, no MMA planned.

 

The plan is to use current US indy shows and old footage. Some promotions scheduled to be aired include: NWA:TNA, ROH, CZW, UPW, XPW, Pro Wrestling NOAH, MLW, New Japan, FWA and IWW.

10-12 is still decent, and the fact that each werestling show can be put on any day of the week means we will still get a decent deal :D

NOAH has:

 

Mitsuharu Misawa (greatest technical wrestler of the 1990's)

Kenta Kobashi (worked classic matches with Misawa thoughout the 1990's)

Yoshihiro Takayama (works for Pride often)

Vader

Yoshihiro Ogawa (Junior Heavyweight)

Naoya Ogawa (no relation, beat the hell out of Hashimoto shoot-style in 1999)

The shows im really looking forward to seeing are CZW, FWA & NWA:TNA.

 

Ive only seen a little of Japanease wrestling and didnt really like it, all that much.

 

But ive heard loads about CZW and never seen it, so im really looking forward to having a look at some of the crazy shit they do.

Trust me FTW CZW TV show is tame really tame

I'm looking forward to this as much as the next guy, but lets keep a level head here people. Is there really a big enough demand for this kind of project?

If you think there are nearly 2000 registered on the UKFF, over 1000 registered here (not counting those who have registered on the UKFF and here) plus more "wrestling" fans who post elsewhere the rating would reach those higher than R:ise which is on a terestrial channel
