World Wrestling Entertainment is saddened by the loss of Michael Lockwood, known professionally as Crash Holly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Michael's friends and family.

I heard that Michael passed away around 1 PM this afternoon.

He also wrestled as Erin O'Grady in California. His birthday was August 25th. He was just 32 years old.

According to Dave Meltzer, he was found dead today at Steven Richards' home in Florida.

Very sad news as yet another wrestler dies as a young man. But 32 is just shocking, sadly this is becoming more and more common and it is just beyond a joke what these guys have to endure.

My thoughts go out to his family & friends tonight.

R.I.P Michael Lockwood (aka Crash Holly).

I'm sat here in shock, I just can't believe it :( It's terrible news. RIP Crash.

Wow - what a year

He's one of the youngest to go though...

RIP Crash

R.I.P Crash!

My prayers are with him, his family and his friends!

Condolences,

Joe

So many have gone this year, and he's so damn young :( R.I.P

Another one goes, and again it looks suspicous. It's a shame, as he was getting over in TNA as Mad Mikey.

R.I.P.

Here's something interesting from WZ.com:

Crash was partying at Steven Richard's house on Wednesday night. There was alcohol involved. The two went to sleep late Wednesday night/Thursday morning after drinking. We have received an unconfirmed report that Crash choked on his own vomit this morning; likely due to heavy drinking; if not other things that we wont speculate on yet.

Several months ago, we reported that Crash had been released from WWE. The reason for his release was due to a variety of reasons, one being his way of 'living on the edge' and heavy partying. Many in the lockerroom at the time felt it was a distraction to his career and it was starting to hurt him.

And people think I go on about the dangers of alcohol because I'm boring...

RIP Crash.

What a sad year for pro wrestling.

I dont think it matters how Crash died bringin up things about alcohol just slanders the poor guys name. Not gettin at you Chris more the people who wrote this it shows no respect to Crashes family at this time.

R.I.P Crash Holly. Gone but not forgotten.:cry

If he had died of natural causes, then nobody would be able to slander his name. However, the evidence suggests he died because he had been drinking heavily, so they had no choice but to report that.

To paraphrase Jake the Snake from last week: God must need a lot of wrestlers right now.

RIP Crash.

Not really. Are you saying if he'd died in a gunfight with police after killing small children then it shouldn't be reported because it slanders the guy's name?

At the end of the day he killed himself with his own stupidity.

R.I.P Crash:cry

Okay, your Mum (or another loved one or relative) steps out to the shops and walks under a bus. She didn't look both ways and the bus driver had not opportunity to stop. I can't see you spouting "At the end of the day she killed herself with her own stupidity."

To be as callous as your comment makes you sound only confirms your steadfast adherence to this weird monomaniacal "me against the world" stance you will take on ANY issue. I don't believe you have any beliefs whatsoever, Ed. I believe that you will automatically take the contrary position to whatever the general consensus is. I believe that you do this in order to appear enigmatic and interesting (and to some of our more impressionable members I'm sure you do - Joe, I'm looking at you here) but the gimmick is starting wear a little thin.

Sorry for sullying this thread with a rant but I felt it ought to be said.

I think the point Ed was trying to make is that it wasn't the current types of wrestlers death

Most recently there have been many who have died of "natural" causes, whether it be Steroid related or not, this one was brought on by his own immediate actions prior to his death - heavy drinking

If he hadn't been drinking so heavily at the party, then in all likelyhood he would still be here today

It's very sad, but not in the same way as when Hawk or Stu died

Accidentally stepping out in front of a bus is hardly the same as drinking yourself to death.

The fact that he has a family makes him all the more stupid.

And what on earth are you talking about? "Me against the world gimmick"? :?

Did I post anything contrary when anyone else died? No, because their deaths were not their own fault.

If HHH goes out next weekend and decides to play russian roulette and blows his own brains out, then I'll call him a fool. If a building collapses on him, then I'll say how terrible it is.

If you can't see there's a difference between those too things, I'm glad I have a gimmick!

Ed

It is getting SCARY

I'm agreeing with Ed again :eek

What a ****ing few weeks, never thought it would of been him to pass away

RIP Crash

Another one gone, and so young.

R.I.P Crash

wow that sucks...RIP crash

but ed is right..its basically his own fault

Considering he choked on his own vomit, I think it's obvious he died from drinking. Calling him stupid is well, stupid. I can understand why P. Eddy would say that, but it could happen to anyone that ever drinks.

I wonder how Vince will handle this one?
