My take on WM 30
Opening Segment - I thought even with Hogans awful errors on the mic, which happens a lot lately, the opening was a blast, the old school Rock, seeing Beers thrown towards the ring, and how they all reacted to the stadium name mishap was perfect, I was kinda hoping to see a stunner on someone, but either way it was fun, again, The Rocks lines and jokes felt old school Rock...back when people gave a shit about him, it was nice to see, and funny.
HHH Vs Bryan - In my years of being a wrestling fan (early 1990's - 2014) I have 3 generations of favourite Superstars, back in 90's it was Mr Perfect, 2000's was HHH, and 2010+ Daniel Bryan. So for me, the opener was exciting to watch, and I was hyped, I know some people said it fell flat, but I felt this could potentially be MOTN, it had everything I wanted, even a goddam Tiger Suplex lol. HHH's moveset looked slightly tweaked to me, but he still has it, Steph never fails to entertain me, she was great, and she looked amazing. HHH's entrance was awesome. All in all I thought this was a fantastic match.
Shield Vs N.A.O - Kane: Squash match, and it needed to be, it felt short, but it delivered what was needed, Reigns is phenomenal, he is really growing on me, he's just a super talented monster! Also The Shield should always wear those face masks, super cool!!
Andre the Giant Battle Royal - I started to get a little bored during this, at times it just felt messy, which is expected with all those men in the ring at the same time. Kofi is the luckiest shit in wrestling, constantly pulling off these amazing feats, god knows how many times he practiced that, I think he meant to land on steps, but the fall looked so much better. I had predicted Sheamus winning this, but Cesaro winning was awesome, I loved how he picked up Big Show, and just whizzed him out, then struggled with the Trophy lol.
Bray Wyatt Vs Cena - Cena wins...yawn, this was my first disappointment of the night, I always struggle to take Cena serious, with his childish arm bands and such, his acting is god awful, his facial expressions in this match ruined it for me, pretending to be on the edge of insanity, instead he just looked like he needed a huge beastly stinking shit. I felt Bray should of gone over here. The singing was amazing, the crowd are so behind Wyatts.....as one sign said...Bray wins, or we Wyatt! Genius! The Grudge/Spider moment was amazing, but Cena over sold it, Bray was amazing here, tarred by Cena's...usual pathetic performance.
Taker Vs Brock - I used to love Brock, sure he is no techie, and no shakespeare on the mic, but he always had the aura of being a monster....a proper monster, when Brock was on one, he killed people lol. The F5 is a brilliant finisher, it looks awesome. I always was a fan of him to a degree, with this in mind, I knew he was going down at Mania, I would of bet my life on Taker winning, and today I would be the dead man, I can honestly say, as gullable as I may seem, this was the one moment in years of watching that genuinely shocked me. Like many I feel this was a wasted chance for someone like Bray Wyatt, Reigns, or Cesaro, if the streak had to end, I would of let one of those 3 end it. As much as I like Brock, he will now walk away and not wrestle for another 4 months. The match itself was shit, but regardless of how, or why it happened, this will be one of those historic WWE moments people will remember in many years to come, and were part of that era, which is kinda awesome. Also did anyone else expect CM Punk to jump out of that #21 Coffin? lol.
Divas Invitational - Predicted a Naomi win, but happy to roll with AJ Lee for awhile longer, it all went downhill after the Bella Botch, they tried, but the crowd just seemed bored as usual to me.
Main Event - The RKO Bomb was amazing, (even though it wasn't an RKO..who cares it was still epic) I despise Batista, so happy he didn't win, Randy Orton looked like he killed himself on that monitor, a bit further up, and that could of been a nasty back injury. Bryan with a sledgehammer to HHH, awesome, I expected another screw job, not sure why the ref didn't fast count, it kinda didn't make any sense, but having Bryan take him out was nice. The right man won!
