  1. @Gareth The Great, you're right, I just forgot about that one. Thanks for sharing the clip. I don't think I've ever seen him play live before. I enjoyed it!
  2. I'll be optimistic and say that it might work for an indie promotion. I don't think any of the big promotions would touch it though.
  3. I have a habit of falling down rabbit roles while conducting research for work, so I usually have several tabs open too. I don't think I'm quite as extreme as you are though. How does your computer handle all that?
  4. I'm all about Kenny Omega's Battle Cry by Little V. I know some fans don't like it as much as the theme he used for NJPW, but I think Battle Cry really suits him and it gets the crowd pumped. What about you?
  5. I'm surprised Vince hasn't fought harder for dominance. Then again, I guess the decision to move NXT to the USA Network was one of his big tactics but it just didn't work. The numbers for this past Wednesday's show were even worse for NXT. I can't see Vince switching days, though. If he does that, he'll be admitting defeat, and he'll also send more viewers to AEW who want to watch wrestling on Wednesday nights but won't have NXT as the option
  6. @Dwayne, I think it comes on in a month or two. Bravo is hyping it up. I don't think that's what this one was about. Apparently there was a power struggle for the inheritance. The stepfather was MUCH younger than the grandmother when they married. It's rare that the dude is the gold digger in a relationship, but that looks like the motive here. Then after her grandmother passed, marrying her stepfather seems to have allowed Mary Crosby to inherit everything over her mother. I wondered why the inheritance was skipping a generation. I have no idea what the whole story is, but I bet it'll make for good television. You had a good point though. I could see someone marrying a step in order to keep them from taking what they see as their family's money.
  7. @Gareth The Great, does Chris Lowe really ever sing? Time to add some boy bands to the mix with One Direction and The Jackson 5. One Direction wrote a few of their hit singles and they all sing. The Jackson 5 had many hits that were written by Motown pros with an ear for commerciality , but the brothers wrote some of their own music that made it onto their albums, and they all sang as well.
  8. Bravo is shooting The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, so you know we're about to see some Mormon momma drama. The ladies include Lisa Barlow, Heather Gay, Mary Cosby, Whitney Rose, Meredith Marks, and Jen Shah. The only surname I recognize is Barlow. Maybe the women married outside of the LDS faith and took their husbands' surnames. There's always one lady who is thrown into the bunch who doesn't quite fit in. For this show it's Mary Crosby. Crosby is Pentecostal (her family founded the Faith Temple Pentecostal Church in Salt Lake) and she married her step-grandfather because that's the only way she could take over the family business. She's a gorgeous woman. What can I say? I like trashy television. Are you planning to watch?
  9. Outlander was a hard show to get into because there was so much talking and romance. I couldn't watch it either. I stopped watching MTV's reality shows like Real World and Road Rules. I just couldn't keep up. I would like to abandon more shows than I do, but FOMO is real. Killing Eve has been pretty terrible these past two seasons. Maybe I'll start with it.
  10. I don't care either way. Sorry, but they've both been caught with performance-enhancing substances in their system and in my opinion, they're cheaters, not athletes. Lesnar would be a fool to go for it though. Has he even been training for a real fight? I doubt it.
  11. If I'm talking strictly as a WWE fan then I think Bray Wyatt's tweet nailed it when he asked Barrett if he's here for the Nexus reunion thing. But realistically, I think the WWE just laid off a ton of wrestlers. They have a huge stable of talent on their roster. What does he bring to the table that's super unique? Nothing. I think it's a one-off.
  12. Photos. This one is hard because it seems baked into our social landscape thanks to smartphones. I love hanging out with friends and colleagues, but I'm a private person, and I don't want my photo taken. I don't want photos taken of anything I own, including my pets. My home, car, and yard can't be the backdrop for your selfie either. People are judgmental and employers look at that stuff; I don't do social media for a reason. I no longer enjoy looking at photos of others either. It's mostly lies. Look, Carly, I know you hate your husband and are having an affair, so your "date night" photo is ridiculous. Yes! I don't get the surrounding hype about her at all!
  13. Do you subscribe to the WWE Network? Is it a good value? I subbed a long time ago, but let it run out once the AEW came onto the scene. I found myself watching the WWE shows less and less. I have more time on hands now and might renew. Is anything good/new that makes it worth the price?
  14. Some parents do just that, Poppy, and some experts actually support it. They call it sleep training and there's more than one method to pick from. Some of the more extreme sleep training methods force the baby to self-soothe by "allowing" them to cry-it-out, while other methods don't, and even more are in between. I think parents mostly reach for it as a last resort when they're incredibly sleep-deprived and can't continue on. I'm childfree as well and thankful for it, but I often took care of my sister when she was a baby. When she'd wail as an infant, her little face would get red, tears would stream down her face, and her little nose would start to pour. Since you're supposed to lay babies on their back to sleep, I'd be afraid one might choke on tears and mucus if left unattended all night. Babies will often cry for a long time and it's not like they can wipe their faces or roll over to avoid choking. I'd be afraid to ignore the crying.
  15. It is hot here! So hot! I feel for the folks who work outside all the time. Do you mean protestors? I obviously haven't seen every protest location, but I drive by three sets on my way to work. From what I've seen there haven't been any riots. Not to mention, it would be impossible to tell which side, if any, started the riot. I say that because if I was planning to do something criminal for money, I'd time it with something else that's chaotic in order to place blame elsewhere. I really hate it when newsgroups say such bad things. As though our townspeople are rotten and our police force is crooked. People are protesting and the cops come by, but no one seems to have a problem with the other. There's been no escalation of tactical gear, gassing the crowd, tasing people, shutting off body cameras, hitting citizens, kidnapping citizens and journalists, shooting into the crowd, or anything of the sort. And on the other side, the protestors haven't thrown a firebomb, disrupted traffic, or anything like that. I've seen the two sides sharing water, sunscreen lotion, and everything else. I think that's much more common than what we're seeing on the news. Most people act decently- whether they're police officers, or soldiers, or average citizens. There's no reason to think that a lineman can't do the job safely. I had to quit watching the news. It's all gloom and doom because that's what sells.
