  1. The kiddo should rebel and root for one of the biggest rivals of either team. Why not? Might as well make the family tea more interesting.
  2. In the UK I'd say that Jimmy Savile fell the hardest. He sexually abused just about everyone he could. His victim list included people from ages 5 to 75. He often targeted the most vulnerable like those who were hospitalised and those who were orphans. The disgusting old bat is dead and I believe that is what ended is reign of terror. He died in 2011, so he just meets the decade time frame. He was knighted, he was respected for his charity work, and now he's loathed.
  3. @Poppy, I liked it, but I'm into MMA, boxing, and reality television, so it was the perfect match in my book. I adore his wife Paris who is as outrageous as he is.
  4. The big thing going around right now is about Tyson Fury's career and how his achievements are equal to the achievements of Muhammad Ali. Do you agree? I think Fury is amazing in the ring, but no one will ever come close to Muhammad Ali's legacy.
  5. I wonder what will happen with anti-doping violations and sanctions. Will those athletes have to sit out for a longer period of time or will the clock continue running which would allow them to essentially get off scot-free? Neither option seems fair to be honest.
  6. Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt star in 12 Monkeys which is a film about a deadly virus that destroyed most of humanity and involves time travel to find the original source of the virus in hopes of developing a cure. It's an older film, but the action and suspense is good.
  7. I thought the Harry Potter franchise ended well. Breaking Bad had an excellent ending, whether you count the last episode in the telly series or the Netflix movie "El Camino" as the finale. I recently binged the Fast and Furious franchise and the films were surprisingly good. I expected fast cars, but got much more than that. My favourite was "Tokyo Drift." The "Fate of the Furious" was fine, but had some gaping plotholes too. Dom buddying up with Deckard, even though he killed Han, was just weird and never explained.
  8. That's my philosophy too. Just spending a few minutes a day tidying up during small breaks makes a world of difference. Then I'm not stuck cleaning a huge mess at the weekend. I share a tiny London flat and we donated a bunch of stuff that was good, but we hardly ever used. The flat looks much better and is easier to clean just from doing that.
  9. I'm a childcare provider, so I'm considered a key worker, but I'm doing a lot of things online through Skype. I report to one family three days a week who works for the NHS. On my other two days I teach lessons and lead activities over Skype. It's taken some getting used to, but I feel better staying in as much as possible.
  10. Are we basing this off the talent that went into drawing/creating the characters, background, and such, or does "best" just mean I like watching it the best.
  11. I think programmes show more and more graphic violence as the years wear on and I've gotten so used to it that I don't think anything of it. That's probably not a good thing.
  12. Sort of like it's considered a tradition in some families to serve in the military or to attend a certain prestigious school? Some parents put gobs of pressure on their kids.
  13. @North, I don't know if you saw the thread, but DandyMandy shared a link to an emulator site. It has some of the Tycoon games if you want to play them again.
  14. I've seen a few films that were awful, but The Room is one of the best worst. The Room is legendary! It's so awkward and ridiculous that it's funny. A movie that got panned by critics that I genuinely adore is White Chicks. Terry Crews stole the show in that one.
  15. I think HBO announced they're shooting the prequel to GoT, but it won't have the usual cast in it. I bet we'll have a long wait until it's produced and ready to go. Maybe Vikings would be a good replacement series in the meantime. It has lots of action, family rivalries, epic scenery, and dark betrayals.
