  1. I see what you mean, @Greylien. It's basically just market forces. I didn't think of it like that. But then again, I have never been to a live wrestling match myself. Whenever I see WWE on TV, it's usually a mix of the two.
  2. I see, that could be one reason why their income is less. But there is such a big discrepancy. For instance, the major male players are earning big bucks. For instance, I read that Brock Lesnar earned $12.5 million in 2020.
  3. That's a good point, @Poppy. There has actually been a recent case in the UK where the parents of a boy wanted to christen him "Lucifer," but the registrar told them to think twice about it. They then went on TV to complain about their treatment!
  4. The Fugitive, as in the TV series, ran from 1963 to 1967. So it was all over before I was born! Like a lot of classics, it has been repeated a few times. David Janssen starred, and the "one armed man" was voted one the nastiest TV villains of all time.
  5. My wife has dubbed the local cats Toffee-Toes ( ginger ) - Mr Socks ( black and white ) - Daisy ( tabby ) and Willow ( grey. ) She had a black cat called Fabienne. Do you fancy the name Fabienne?
  6. This movie, The Fugitive, is an absolute classic thriller, based on a similarly classic TV series of the same name. Did you know that the TV series of The Fugitive ran for 4 seasons, but the first 3 were in black and white, and only the 4th was in color? And the whole thing was based on the real case of Sam Sheppard, a neurosurgeon wrongly accused of his wife's murder.
  7. My wife is a great authority on cats, and she says tabbies have the best temperament. We like the name Sarah! Is the cat definitely going to be a girl? She says they can be more aloof.
  8. It's funny that you should mention this, but we have a terrible problem with ticks in our garden. It's because we live near a forest where there are deer. They get into my neighbor's garden. It's the deer ticks that also like humans. What is horrible is that we have to check our 3 year old daughter every time she goes into the garden.
  9. It might not make sport much safer, but it might make decisions more accurate. But on the other hand, maybe the "robots" could be biased. I didn't think of this possibility!
  10. Taking it it to the ultimate level, who needs referees on the pitch? In Premiership football, VAR - the Video Assistant Referee, uses video footage. The linesmen in the future could be automatically moving cameras, and every decision could be beamed onto a big screen.
  11. When my daughter was born, we were told by the nurses that she had to be given a small amount of milk every 3 hours throughout the night, but that only lasts a few weeks as far as I can remember. All babies are different, and we were lucky in that after a couple of months she would sleep throughout the night. I think a good trick is to put them to bed a bit later than normal so they are really tired!
  12. I'm in the UK and I'm ashamed to say that the first time I was aware of this storm was by reading this thread. I'm not particularly religious, but I pray for everyone over there.
  13. I have just read about the NBA bubble. I'm from the UK myself and I have long considered it a wonder that basketball isn't a bigger deal here, because I see so many teenagers practicing the game everywhere I go. Anyway, yes, a $170 million investment. Very interesting that there is a hotline allowing people to report players who break the rules. I don't know of anyone who has been caught out yet, though.
