  1. IF the PlayStation 5 is actually coming soon, I'll probably not bother with it, for various reasons I can't be bothered to go into.
  2. I'm just going to pop in here before going to bed, and correct you, the match wasn't in AAA, but an indy lucha promotion known as Crash. A few days ago Mysterio was in a tag match with Aguayo in AAA, that match being Mysterio's first post-WWE match, this match was Mysterio's second post-WWE release match. I've noticed the same mistake on heaps of other sites too, but both matches are on YouTube, so it's easily verifiable. Anyway, as I've said elsewhere, the whole situation is terrible. R.I.P. Perro Aguayo Jr.
  3. Played more of this earlier, and I ran into a few glitches. In one match I was put into a submission hold, but the submission meter didn't show up, and I had to quit the match because I was stuck in a submission hold that I couldn't get out of. None of the controls were responsive, and the referee was frozen as well. Second glitch happened when I unlocked a trophy, and for some reason the entire game crashed and sent me back to the PS4 home menu. Anyway, the career mode is sort-of annoying since I seem to lose the majority of my matches. It wasn't until I upgraded my CAW that I actually started winning more. And yes, that means that for some reason the career mode pushes you along even though I was losing horribly. I'm still enjoying playing it though, just a bit annoyed that I lose so much...in previous WWE games I rarely lost at all in the career/story modes.
  4. Well I bought this yesterday, and from what I've played so far, I'm really enjoying it. As I said before, the last main-series WWE game I played was WWE 12, and this feels so much better than that one. The only thing that bothered me about the "stripping down" of the features was the lack of CAW parts, apart from that, I'm really enjoying it. As I didn't play the last couple of games, I don't know if the chain wrestling mechanics were there previously, but I really like them. I had a match which went from reversal to reversal that felt like an actual wrestling match, rather than a series of moves. I noticed when I was making my CAW that the movelist has a lot more in it than I remember as well. So, in my opinion, I really like it. I can live with the lack of CAW features, (as all my best CAW's were created on SVR 2010 and I can't be bothered remaking them), and I like the new gameplay mechanics. But whatever, my opinion doesn't count. Whenever everybody else shits on something, I usually end up liking it. :doh32:
  5. I'll be getting this on the PS4. I haven't bought a main series WWE game since WWE 12, plus it's the first on the PS4, so I decided why not.
  6. But if a wrestler knows how to bump, and knows how to bump through tables, surely they can adapt? Whereas a backyarder who has no idea what they are doing either way has far more risk involved, as they wouldn't even know how to bump in the first place? It totally doesn't work like that. A lot of wrestlers who do deathmatches on a regular basis do it simply because they enjoy doing it.
  7. Because they enjoy it. It's that simple. That implies that wrestling psychology isn't used in deathmatches, which is totally untrue. Well I disagree with this entirely, especially about Necro's level of talent. Necro Butcher can wrestle 'normal' matches, in fact there was a period of time a few years ago in CZW where he went under the name 'Hollywood' Dylan Summers and wrestled pure wrestling matches. I don't see how he could look 'phony' either, I have the total opposite reaction to his matches. And his match with Joe wasn't about 'morbid fascination with punishment', it was hyped because it was a really good brawling style wrestling match. If that's the case, then at least 50% of Japanese wrestlers must suck, because they generally work stiff, at least in some promotions. Either way, I disagree.
  8. What about top rope moves through tables? The way I see it, if a wrestler can learn to do that, they can learn to do this. The only difference is the height involved. I still don't understand why people think that the wrestlers who do this can't work. The vast vast majority of them can work just fine, they only do this stuff because they want to. Which is especially true for the wrestler in the videos in this thread, he is a normal wrestler who does hardcore/deathmatches occasionally. And this post sums up why I rarely post here anymore. These forums are too stress inducing. Just because I have an opinion it means that I'm 'white knighting' them? The only intention I had when I posted in this thread was to point out that this wasn't a backyard show, I didn't start this argument again. And these forums are far too argumentative when it comes to these things anyway. I've discussed deathmatch wrestling and such on the other forum I post on, with people who don't like it, and the discussions were always civil and reasonable. Unlike this place.
  9. Well I could show you a variety of bumps that are far far worse than the one posted in this thread. So in that respect it's nothing new, and this was tame compared to a lot of stuff I've seen. Well deathmatch wrestling as a whole has actually gotten more tame in the last few years. So it's kind of moved in the opposite direction, that is that there are less and less of these types of bumps happening. I disagree. I've seen enough shoot interviews with hardcore and deathmatch wrestlers to know that they use their training to take these types of bumps.
  10. Exactly. I've made my point about this kind of thing before, that is, I have no problem with trained pro-wrestlers doing it. They're going to do it either way, and it's way better that trained pro-wrestlers who know how to perform the moves and take the bumps properly are doing it instead of some untrained backyarder. I have to disagree with this though, if you look at the recent IWA-MS cards, there are actually the exact same amount of deathmatch and hardcore matches that they've always had. Perhaps even less.
  11. CONFIRMED: https://indypowerrankingsipr.wordpress.com/2014/07/25/725-iwa-mid-south-feeling-extremely-froggy-results/comment-page-1/ It's from an IWA show, not a backyard show. I knew I'd seen that clip before.
  12. That looks like John Wayne Murdoch in that clip, who is a trained indy wrestler, in which case it's not backyarding. It is hard to tell from the quality of the clip though. Compare it to this, if it is the same wrestler then it's not backyarding. [video=youtube;YTncRxjJ1lw]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTncRxjJ1lw Again, it might not be him, but if it is, it's not backyarding.
