They erased the angels until he rebooted the universe. Matt Smith just grew and grew and the end he was just amazing. Wish he'd had another series but the last 3 episodes were hard to top.

Oh I'm fully aware it wasn't the first he filmed, but it was the first aired ergo considered generally to be his first episode. Either way, the two parter with the Angels was damned good too.

I was hoping to avoid and just donate, but I got nominated by my best friend, soI did it, twice due to the failings of my first attempt, donated as soon as I got paid to the MndA for £10 and then nominated work people for shits and giggles. Each of those 6 people has donated too, even tho some haven't been iced yet. Surely every little counts and that's a good thing of we can raise some awareness and some contributions. Ive since been nominated again so will be donating again on Friday when I'm paid. Won't be doing the challenge again tho

Matt Smiths first episode was insanely brilliant. His second was ok then he had that dead shit Dalek episode that was made up for by the rest of the series. Tennants first episode he spent most of it inbed asleep then he chucked an apple and killed the Sycorax.

To me, and this'll sound sexist. But from what we know of Gallifrey and time lords, they have genders and reproduce like humans would. For me the Doctor is a man, and part of the premise for me is that while he has the ability to change his appearance through regeneration it's is believing that it's the same man underneath. I don't think I'm sexist at all, I just think that to keep that premise that it's the same person that person has to be a man, or it to me it gets even less sensical. I mean Rive regenerated twice and was female in both.

I've rewatched it a couple times. I'm not sold, the new series seems very colourful, lots of humour and a bit cheesy/obvious. Honestly thought for the most part, especially the ending with Missy that this was a RTD episode rather than anything Moffats produced in the last 3 years. I really hope Missy isn't the Master at all. Would rather the Master be a dude, nothing wrong with strong female characters but if gender swapping is your thing, read the new Thor. I'd like to see John Simm return even if just for the regeneration
