Waiting a month for Revival to be on TV.

I think that Revival should be broadcast earlier. A month is too long to wait because we'll all know the results by then unless we go into hiding for a month! I don't know why they couldn't broadcast it the day after it happens. Anyway, i should be grateful that its on TV at all.

They couldn't show it the day after as how many people would then pay £20 to go watch it....I mean £20, for christ sake!!!

If the current UK scene had one promotion, with the best guys, on TV every week and touring Nationwide, it still wouldn't be worth £20 a ticket...certainly not with a £3 booking fee lumped on top of it.

It used to be that foreigners came over here to learn their trade and develop, now it happens to gain credibility and put bums on seats...it's a disgrace that UK fans need American/foreign workers on the shows. It's also the main reason companies don't look to tour more or do more shows. Less big money foreign talent coming over, less money wasted on hot shotting the market and more money to use wisely.

i think 20 quid isnt much to ask to see stars like Eddy Guerreo etc cosidering u can pay a tenner to watch the cack on an all star show etc

at the end of the day this could be one of the most important shows in British wrestling history (well behind the EWC shows ;) ) plus u r getting a seminar with Eddy and Brian Christopher.

And the reason y fourign talent dont come over here and learn there craft now is that the crabtree operation dosnt excist ne more and the fact the WWF is huge now

Does anybody really care about Tommy Boyd??? . The man should be ashamed of himself. Tommy Boyd knows f*ck all about wrestling and he thinks he is the British Vince McMahon. I also think it is shocking that he has this TV deal considering he doesn’t deserve it and hasn’t worked for it. All Boyd has done is used his contacts to jump his way past everyone else who has been working for years to get the sport back on TV. If anyone deserves a TV deal it’s all star or midlands considering they where promoting regular quality wrestling well before Tommy even new who “grand master sexy” was. Also, to bring up another point, what is the point in this wrestling master class that Tommy is running? , as if there isn’t already enough people who think they know about wrestling without another 50 little kids (most likely fans of the rock or hardy boys) being supposed “insiders”

It isn’t fair, but then again life isn’t fair.

All star and midlands..ha!

They would have to lose all their tribute wrestler first to save a huge lawsuit.

Besides the majority of the show is being booked by FWA, Boyd is promoting it and throwing in some ideas.

im not trying to start an argument as i dont even know you.

but here are some facts

Midlands only use 1 tribute worker (the undertaker) and allthough im not going to give you my opinion on the idea of tributes as my opinion in this case isnt relivent. The taker gets the biggest reaction on any show.

what does this mean ? i dunno ? . Also to my knolage midland and all star are the only two propper promotions in the uk (all the rest are part time) .

i dunno. I hope brittish wrestling is sucessful no matter what promotion but on the other hand in some cases i have to look out for my own interests and wish total failure on a project. (not mentioning any project inperticular)

I also think that its a dam shame that tommy boyd is gonna be given the title of "the man that brought brittish wrestling back on tv. He doesnt deserve it and it just aint right.

Oh if things could only be more simple :)

Revival

Revival is an important project - and probably one of the most important things to happen to British wrestling.

I know there are always fans who will always moan about one thing or the other but don't doubt the importance of this show and the work that has gone into it.

Tommy Boyd has worked hard to get Revival onto TV - maybe it will be a one off but if its a success then you could see the return of British wrestling to television. So why not cut the moaning and get behind this event.

Yes, our style of booking on the shows we have done is different to most British promotions but its a style that has caught on with a lot of fans and wrestlers and its the style that will best translate to TV. Look on the UKFF and FWA forums - we didn't get one bad review for our last show so trust us that Revival will be good.

i will put 100% of my heart into anything to do with wrestling. I would love to be involved in all of these new school things (although maybe not as a wrestler just now as i am only 16 and have limited experience) . A lot of people judge me by comments i make on the net. Really i just feel kind of excluded from a sport that i love and that makes me frustrated.

be honest here (presuming you do actualy work for the fwa london cab) , would the fwa or any new school promotion EVER consider letting me be involved in anything ? lol no , why , ? because of comments i made when i was a 14 / 15 year old boy on the net , hell come to that . im still only 16!!!

A lot of people slag off Tommy boyd because he knows f***[edited] all about wrestling ... and they'd be right. But I fully respect the man because although he has little knowledge, he obviously wants to help the business in this country, and if he's using the contacts he's garnered over the years to get ahead, then so be it. If the Revival show is as good as I'm hoping it will be, it may well get British wrestling on TV. And that can't be a bad thing, surely.

No swearing!

If British wrestling gets on tv with boyd at the helm it would be terrible. come on the man thinks big show's the best wrestler and he'd never seen the pedigree. the current fwa where every show is quality WRESTLING will turn into a cheap wwf rip off. alex (who i'm a big fan of) already sold out with that embaressment/shambles/disgrace/insult to every wrestling fan on saturday night. which no doubt was boyds idea. FWA should remember boyd needs them (ratings/money) they dont need boyd. if the uk feds hammerlock fwa etc could come together with help of a bit of sponsorship from companies could easily get a tv deal. Tommy boyds connections? the man was a pi** poor KIDS tv presenter any moron could do that. plus everyone goes on about how smart boyd is. well its pretty easy to sound smart in an argument on the radio when u can cut off your opposition at any time. and the wrestling radio show .... ive listened since it started before alex joined in. and the show wasnt popular until alex joined in his charisma and wrestling knowledge brought in the listeners and im sure if he f**ked off tommorow and left boyd and those muppets the lil's boys on their own the ratings would drop like a friggin stone so stop giving boyd credit... well rant over my blood pressure's off the chart

Musso,

If I hear you mutter that "Midlands and All Star are the only proper promotions" drivel again, I'm going to seriously begin to question not only your integrity and intelligence...but i'm going to wonder if you are in fact Shane Palmers love child. That is exactly the nonsense he comes up with.

If the BWF or Midlands for that matter are the only proper promotion, why do they use such cheap promotional tactics? Why don't they actually try to do something genuine for a change, hmmmm, come on...if they can tour nationally (albeit with the BWF it's more a trail of debt that a tour) then why don't they turn their entire product round. Of course, you'd be out of a job, but nothing bad ever came of things getting better.

Whilst i'm at it Musso, only a fool would wonder if LondonCab actually works for the FWA.

Finally, things will never be more simple than the underdeveloped workings of your brain Mike...NEVER. Oh, if only someone had shown you how to open the school gates.

So what if Tommy knows buck all about wrestling, the fact is that someone with a lot of contacts and media knowledge is putting his time and money (maybe?) into the sport that we al love.............and you're criticising him for it?????????

maybe we should wait for something else to come along instead :evil
