Forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this thread. As a huge belt mark, I was wondering who else here is a fan of wrestling title belts? The ones on TV today in WWE which are made by Joe Marshall arent to great, IMO. The J-Gold, which Benoit carries, is a nice version of the original, but apart from that, the only other belt I like in any way is the WWE title carried by Eddie Guererro.

As a belt mark and real hand crafted belt collector, I'd love to see WWE have the King of Belts Reggie Parks start making them again (for those who dont know, Reggie made all the classic WWF belts like the awesome IC that Mr. Perfect, HBK, Bret Hart etc made famous, the Tags that Demolition and the Hart Foundation made famous, and the best belt of all time, the Winged Eagle that Hulk Hogan, Randy Savage, the Ultimate Warrior and Bret Hart etc made famous.

I have all these belts along with several others in my collection all from Reggie and his partner and my good friend Dave "The Ace" Millican.

Sorry for my long winded thread, I was just wondering if there are other belt marks lurking around these parts who might like to talk belts at some point.

Well yes, I'm a belt mark, but of the newish generation :)

I'm only 15, so surely it's understandable..

Anyhow, I'm basically in love with the World Heaveyweight Championship. When I save up enough, I'm definitely purchasing the replica. I also like the intercontinental title which is currently held by Randy Orton.

I'm not a big fan of the WWE title, it's look just doesn't appeal to me. Both tag team titles are pretty nice. The cruiserweight doesn't appeal to me, nor did the hardcore or the european when they were around.

I'm not sure if you have collected belts before, so if you have, ignore my advice. But as a long time collector, I find that the Figures Inc replica belts have very stiff straps and flat plates. You should put a nice curve in the main plates on them, just bend them over the top of your leg or something, it makes them look a whole lot better. Also, send them to be releathered onto a proper strap, my buddy Mike does this, his website is http://www.releathering.com and he does a GREAT job! Also, I know these replica belts are like £250 each here in the UK, but if you sign up to eBay USA, you can buy them for like $185 and less, plus say $45 shipping to England, which comes to $230 or less per belt which is about £120, saving yourself £130 per belt! Hope this helps...

Is this comment directed at me? If it is, I totally dont understand it! I'm talking about title belts, SCSA mentioned he may buy one and I was giving him helpful advice on saving some cash. Is there a problem with that?

Sorry, I'm gonna cut you off there. It's in relevence to the thread, so it's allowed to be in this forum. Please let me and Chris sort out what should and shouldn't be here. Thanks :)

As for title belts, the old WCW belt looked so much better than the current HHH-Ego-Appeaser title, and the US title looked better too. In fact, most of the WCW belts were quite good. I liked the 1998-2002 WWF title, and the ECW world title. Other than that, the Intercontinental title up until 1998 was real cool :)
Yeah the 98' - 02' WWF title was pretty cool. I dont like the new WWF or 'undisputed' title.

Yes, that IC used from 1986-1998 was awesome, and more commonly known as the 'Reggie IC'. I have one that was made for me by Reggie on Yellow leather, ALA the Ultimate Warrior at WMVI.

The WWF title from 1998-2002 was made by Joe Marshall (JMar) out of Ohio USA, and is more commonly known as the 'Big Eagle'. The first one with the WWF block logo and the blue leather was awesome, the second version with the WWF scratch logo and black leather was great too. ECW title was also made by JMar.

As for the Undisputed, the V.1 was my favorite. It was smaller, had no black border on the plates and a logo plate. It was the original that Hulk and HHH held. The V.2 was the one Taker lost to Rock in the triple thread match with Angle at Vengeance 2002 and it was HUGE. Ugly, IMO. The current one is the V.3, its a little bigger than the first, smaller than the second and has no logo plate.

I did love the old WCW championship, and the Smoking Skull belt. I noticed they had the smoking skull belt on shopzone, but this was just after mania when i had spent all my dosh!!

Shows are Ireland, Manchester and Birmingham. I'm going to the Brummy one. Cool about your plates, you should have them in the next 4-5 weeks or so tops. Yup, I have one on the way from Dave, only ordered 2 weeks or so ago though, so another few months yet.

And I cant wait for it, im looking forward to seeing it and Mike leather work everyones on about, same about it so akward to post Figs belts to the US for leathering, how do you get away with it or do you order from Dave Corn or summut and have him to send it to the person leathering it in the states first then they post it

Cheers Chris

Mikes work is great, I posted real close up shots of the white strap he did for my WE on my site championofengland.com so check it out if you wanna close up. I always buy my Fig Inc replica belts from Corn or Steeladeal on eBay USA (saves me about £130 PER BELT!) and have them sent directly to Mike in Miami for releathering, so that I dont have to have it sent here from the US, then back to the US, then back here again.
