No, it wasnt real. Tazz got in to make it seem real, and to convince people it was (and it obviously worked with you, which is great).

It was a pretty clear work to be honest, it amazes me that the WWE still try things like that, but then i guess as long as there are people out there who still buy it then they will keep doing it.

Alot of fans are kids, they buy it, and they are the ones WWE cares about, cos they are the ones who buy all the toys, T-Shirts, games etc.

Plus, if they dont pull these kinds of things, it wouldnt be pro wrestling anymore. You have to have the outlandish gimmicks and angles in there somewhere.

It was a work everyone and as for Tazz getting in the ring, do you not remember when Chyna was spike piledriven by the RTC and couldn't move and the King got in the ring to help out? That was a work... Then in a repeat when Chyna came back to face Ivory she passed out after a handspring elbow and guess what the King got in the ring again and again it was a work... And then all of two months later she comes back and squashes Ivory at Mania for the Womens (theres a joke) title.

This was a work, and quite a good one if anyone bought it like most of the people in the arena did.

They seem to think that an announcer getting in to the ring to have a look makes it a big deal, cant see it myself :P

The most famous time a commentator got in the ring to check on a wrestler was five years ago today. Unfortunately, that time it wasn't a work, and we lost someone because of it. That's why every time WWE do something like this, it makes me want to spit in Vince's face. The fact that the Eddie incident took place three days before the anniversary of Owen's death makes it even worse.

R.I.P. Owen Hart....

It was tasteless in a angle full of tasteless moments like the Guerrero family angle and now this, how about for the rest of the fued these guys keep it in the ring and try and pull off a match a step above Judgement Day.

And I hope if they decide to do a tribute to Owen they keep HHH off the screen lying his ass off about Owen again, remember that Raw? That was sickening.

I dont see why you people are getting all bent out of shape over Tazz stepping in the ring. I'm sure Vince didnt think "Oh, this will work cos this is what the King did when Owen died! Great guys lets run with it!"

Come on, give the guy some credit! And also, just because Owen Hart died, life for others go on, the show goes on, you cant worry about offending a select few Owen Hart fans at the expense of your product.

It was a sad thing that happened with Owen Hart, but you cant dwell on it forever and blame Vince for everything after this when it comes to small things like Tazz stepping in the ring to show concern.

They were selling an angle, not trashing Owen Hart!

No what I meant was the Raw after Owen's death were everyone was nice and respectful but then we got to HHH who wasn't a Hart family friend, he was a man who didn't get on with Owen due to his pior knowledge of the doublecross and his denile of it and the Cliq's backstage power struggle with the Harts...

HHH made himself seem like he and Owen were best pals for fan love, that was wrong.

As for Owen's death, it was the people who made the harness and flasely advertised it who are to blame for Owen's death, however the ppv really shouldn't have contiued...

Also I meant the Guerrero angle is tasteless and over the top, it isn't trashing Owen, this I understand, but Eddie went to far with the blade job as he went into shock and required 16 stiches to close it and required a stay in hospital... The mother thing was cheap wrestling smut and this was just a poor re-hash of an unconvincing work, I'd rather see it all done in the ring really.

I think the deal with HHH, is he said his thing, like you said, for fan love. It was wrong, but it was wrestling, thats how they do things.

As for whether the show went on or not...hmmm, tough decision. IMO, it should have gone on, and did. The thing is, even though somebody died, its a business. That sounds harsh, and I dont mean it to sound as cold as it comes off, but like I said, it was a business decision, and a smart one.

The WWF would have lost a whole hell of alot of money and I expect more fans would have complained had the show been stopped than did when it continued.

Those who didnt want it to continue could have just left the arena or turned off the TV, its really as simple as that.

Plus, lets be honest, I'm sure Vince was in shock and just made a spur of the moment decision, who knows, maybe he even regrets continuing now. We will never know.

As for the Guererro thing, he did go overboard with the blade job, but thats just one of those thing. Vince and HBK have both gone way over board at the last Survivor Series, you just get caught up in the moment.

Now, dont get me wrong, I'm not arguing with you, or trying to convince you what I say it right, just offering different opinions. :xyx

Same with me Beltmark, each to there own I say, you have opinions and you voice them well...

As for the Owen ppv I didn't wach it live as I was out and I was going to catch the reapeat but Sky cancelled it out of respect but now I am glad I didn't see it as it must be painful to watch knowing the memories involved.

I hate it when they bring out the medics for something fake for two reasons; 1) It makes embarrising TV for a wrestling fan and 2) You never know if that person really as had their neck broken.

I have it on video if you need a copy. It really wasnt that bad to watch, as everything happened off camera and you never saw anything at all.

Its not a bad event, Austin vs Taker in the main event for the WWF title, this was when Austin had the Smoking Skull belt too.

I know what happened, it was the one with Vince and Shane as ref's weren't it and a little while later Taker reveiled the higher power to be none other then Vince McMahon himself...

Nah thanks for the offer but it will be forever a gap in the collection in tribute and memory of Owen Hart.

I can't imagine a single person who would actually complain in the wake of what happened. I'm not condemning WWE for going on with the show, but that was surely not the reason.

My mother thought it was real....still does. XP

I tried to tell her it was more or less a work, but she's not very good at reading between the lines.

She LOVES Eddie Guererro, though...^^;

If that wasnt real then Eddie Guerrero is a bleady good actor as well as an amazing wrestler in all corners of the ring!
