Guest Jack
I dont have an X-Box but i am thinking of getting PS2 online so does anyone know a good game? When online can you browse like you are on your PC or does it take you straight to the games?
Guest Seabass
for xbox, you can browse online. I'm sure it's the same deal with PS2's online
Guest Feenix
I would be on X-box live if AOL supported it (damn crappy AOL). Apparently they're Beta testing it but they've been saying that for nearly a year now. I doubt it takes over 9 months to beta test x box live. They'd better get round to finishing it soon... Anyway, if I didn't have AOL, these are the games i'd be enjoying through live right now; Project Gotham Racing 2 XIII Counter-Strike Midtown Madness 3 Tony Hawk's Underground

Guest Dickie Hyde
I'm looking to get an X-Box and play online. Just a few questions. I'm with wanadoo. (freeserve) do they support it? Once I have the X Box and the games, how do I go about playing online? Are any of the NBA games online?
Evil Gringo
Well you need the broadband live set which you can buy with Project Gotham or Rainbow Six 3 for £40... Then you have to connect your live kit onto the X-Box and then to your connection... Then you set up an account through your X-Box that for your IP, it may take awhile as the X-Box server uses a weird system but once you have your IP and sent them your details for them to bill you (anytime account, you just pay monthly I believe, not much) then you can start gaming.... I believe at least one of the NBA games has live functions however I was dissappointed when Fifa didn't, would love to can someone online, but what can you do... Guest Dickie Hyde
Well, I'd rather go with the PS2 option, as the new Smackdown! game looks promising to be online, and they also have Fifa and NBA :) So, where do I start? I'm on Wanadoo Broadband. I pay £27.99 a month, and that's all. I have a PS2 :P I can get the network adapter easily enough but don't I need a roter? If so what sort? (I'm looking to get set up ASAP) Any help is greatly appreciated, Cheers, SCSA
Evil Gringo
What speed do you have? 150K or any faster? If you have it faster then you can host your own servers and games, at 150k you get quite bad ping... Has to be said though that from what I heard the X-Box live network is alot more realible and populated then the PS2 one... The new wrestling game on the Box, Wrestlemania XXI is supposed to be online friendly as well....
Guest Dickie Hyde
Well, I always thought I was at 500k, unless that has to be totally wrong? Right now it says I'm connected at 576,000 bps? What do I need to get started? X box may be more populated, but due to me already having a ps2 and that WWE Smackdown! Vs RAW is coming out soon, I'll try the ps2 one out... Any help please? Evil Gringo
Well all I know is that you should be sorted with a 500k connection... as an X-Box user I don't know how the PS2 system works... my best advice is to ring your local branch of Game and ask them as they will know what you need and if its in stock... Failing that try a web search on the offical Playstation site...

Guest Jack
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Played FIFA 2004 and I would wipe my arse on it to be honest. Its shocking compared to PES3 and the pnly reason I considered FIFIA was because it was online but now that PES4 will be online I dont have to settle for second best. FIFA can be a a good game but when your playing a match compared to PES it looks awful.
