Whilst on the lookout for a new NBA game for my PS2 last week i realised that there were so many to choose from. Now i finally decided on Sega Sports version called ESPN NBA Basketball (NBA 2k4), there was also EA sports version NBA Live 2004, and Midways NBA Jam 2004. Looking across all the sports there are at least two or three publishers for each sport and i was wondering if you follow one particular company (ie EA Sports) or dont you care?

A breif description of some of the publishers is below.

EA sports have all the licences and they seem to put out the best looking games, and without a doubt are the most successful.

Konami produce the ISS and Pro Evolution football games which are technically sound and are of a higher quality.

Sega Sports hold licences for some of the american sports such as the NFL and the NBA, the games are visually sound as they are done in partnership with ESPN as to bring a "TV like" theme to their games.

Midway dont take the games too seriously, for example NBA Jam was very "funny" and they seem to let the others go for detailed sports games.

Konami - Pro Evolution Soccer, the greatest football genere game to grace the world of gaming. Other games which make Konami the dogs are MGS and Silent Hill, those three game titles are the greatest to date. Edited by ......cjr......

Konami for Pro Evo and also Sports interactive for Championship Manager. I cant really choose which because the games are both brilliant but different at the same time.

EA Sports/EA Sports Big for four of my favourite games;

John Madden 2004, Tiger Woods 2004, Fifa 2004, and SSX 3.

By the way, gonna buy Pro-Evo 3 soon enough. And while it may be better than Fifa (I ain't actually played it yet), EA wins it for me on consistency.
